1: Private sale does not always equal gun show. You're showing your ignorance again.
2: I'm glad you admit that background checks are unnecessary. After all, you bought without one and its worked out just fine.

Why would I not keep my firearm accessible?
Who is going to stumble bum around and play with it? My wife is just as competent with firearms as I am.
Hell, she's definitely more competent than you are.

You seem to have the same issue my grandmother once did: You see, she had trouble seeing at night so as the sun would go down she would become anxious if anyone was going to have to drive and would remark on it. O its going to be so hard to drive etc. She couldn't grasp that we could all see just fine and she was the one with nightblindness.

You don't seem to understand that every person in my house knows how to use firearms and respects them as the dangerous and useful tools they are.

What do YOU suggest I do Elmer?

You asked for clarification, and I provided that to you.

You may not have liked the answer, but that's a personal problem. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.

^ No dear that's not how that worked.
Prior to the gun free school zones act you could certainly carry a firearm if you were legal in all other respects.
People kept guns in their trucks on campus ffs.
Firearms safety was taught in the classroom prior to the Omnibus bill in the mid 60's.

    Or self defense.
And yes for hogs: No limit, they run in sounders dozens strong, and they're more than willing to gore you to death. I'm not in to having a bitchin scar on my leg like Odysseus, so I pack a nice chunky 75rd drum I keep well lubricated so it functions well.

You don't seem to understand that 1 gun won't do it all.
A side arm is a necessary thing for self protection and fighting to your rifle if need be.
A standard rifle is necessary for additional self defense purposes, and for militia service if need be.
A precision rifle is proper for something like deer hunting where you might be taking a much longer shot and so need an advanced optic that doesn't fit a normal self defense situation.
A shotgun is useful for taking small game, and for home defense if you prefer though a rifle is far superior in all respects for this purpose.
A nice crew served weapon is also useful for practicing team work, building relationships, and repelling the Huns.

For an invasive species that destroys crops, kills valuable livestock, spreads disease, endangers the public posing a risk of death or grievous bodily harm, damages buildings, has numerous domesticated examples which if released immediately form their wild traits again which is how this happened in the first place, are free to shoot, people will invite you over to clear out for free, breed multiple times in a year essentially every female in the sounder at one time having multiple piglets per litter, and happens to taste LIKE BACON?

You're sure as **** right. Feeds the homeless too.

I don't think you understand that when you shoot one they don't tend to run off they tend to charge you. And they have tusks and weigh anywhere from 150-300 lbs easy. They can and will kill you if you're careless, or maim you.
No I would not hunt them with a bow or a muzzle loader just like I wouldn't hunt them with a ****ing spear. No I would not use an archaic device to clear out dangerous vermin with.

So you won't wear an off the rack suit, but you're concerned that I have my guns tailored?

Not sure if my posts have been so truly unclear to a casual observer or if you’re just unwilling to own the implications of your post. Let’s find out.

What does the CIA and black budgets have to do with the topic of this thread?

My guns and me haven't done anything that would be construed as a problem. I need as many as I want to own and have the funds to acquire.

Yes, why do you want to make it so easy for them by disarming the only people who could stop these crazies before they get started IE their own victims?

    So....."Who you gonna call...."
Ok, so we have 2 posters insisting that police are not the go-to people for gun safety but apparently private citizens are....including teachers, I guess. Do you see how bad your the point you're making is? I doubt it.

Tell us, how long has this strange obsession with inanimate objects and other men's genitals been going on?
After you answer that, please tell us a little bit about your relationship with your mother.

I think Hollywood is more to blame, at least in more recent years, because they make the US People think a suppressor makes a firearm sound more like a mouse fart than what the reality is.

It's entirely possible, probably better than 50-50 chances, that the Uvalde event and so many of the others were staged events.

Staged by whom? By somebody who wants and needs gun control and a disarmed citizenry.

    https://www.usnews.com/news/health-...e-americans-became-gun-owners-during-pandemic

    "
The findings are based on a nationally representative survey of more than 19,000 U.S. adults, including almost 6,000 firearm owners.

The researchers estimated that between January 2019 and April 2021, 7.5 million Americans became first-time gun owners: That includes 2.4 million in 2019, 3.8 million in 2020, and 1.3 million in the first four months of 2021.

Most of those buyers, the study found, had previously lived in a gun-free home. And their new purchases collectively exposed an additional 11 million people — including 5 million children — to the risk of harm.

Beyond the numbers, the study also found that the profile of the first-time gun buyer is shifting.

White men still account for most gun owners in the United States, Miller said. But among new buyers in this study, about half were women, and nearly half were people of color.

That pattern was seen in both 2019 and 2020, so was not unique to the pandemic.
    "

7.5 million new gun owners. Most of those previously purely gun free so more likely to be Dems. Of those new buyers, HALF were people of color. People of color tend to vote Dem.
Its not a unique pattern, its been going on for YEARS.

I chose this source because it clutches its pearls about this issue the same way you do.

And that means that they should of course be left completely defenseless and unguarded with a big damn sign that says "free meat here" outside.

I'm not cruel and you generally hunt them near to sundown. Two to be sure is my policy. Just because they're food doesn't mean they deserve a slow death because I'm prideful about marksmanship when I should be workmanlike.
