    Because so many on the left are emotionally driven thinkers.

    no rational perspective dictates the right is attacking democracy in light of the authoritarian mandates driven by the left and not to mention assassination attempts.

    No they didn't, they just queried the result. The GOP believe in democracy, the fact you want to find a reason to imprison people whom you disagree with suggests you don't.

    I didn't get to watch any of today's hearing, but I need to go back and watch Bill Barr laugh at the concept behind 2000 Mules, like everybody else with half a brain has already done...

    From editing video, to lying about the actions taken by the president the hyper partisan committees argument has fallen apart. The fiery but mostly peaceful protest of no consequence is no longer on your avg Americans mind.

    Have you watched/followed the J6 hearings at all ? Trump was much closer to stealing the election than most thought, but the major revelation was the amount of people who were literally ready to help steal it knowing full well that he did not win the election. Thats not hyperbole thats a fact. And the people in power that were actually trying to talk him into doing just that. The researched every way possible to keep him in power. Think about that, the party that wraps itself in a cloak of the American flag and espouses themselves as the "true patriots" is ready to end the very democracy they praise, to install Donald J Trump. And look where we are as a nation now, where in the latest poll of Republicans, 68% still believe it was stolen, and of those 68%, 90% of them believe they should "install" Donald trump as president.

    Side note: Personally I think every american should be required to watch these J6 hearings. But sadly on the right, most wont even read about them because it denies them the confirmation bias they so sadly require

    You're telling me that the GQP wasn't trying to overturn the free and fair election ? They "queried" the result, it showed they lost and they just accepted it then right ?

    They absolutely don't believe in democracy, unless they "win". There was a very recent poll that showed that over 80% of registered republicans think the election was stolen. There is literally no evidence of the accusation, yet still the majority of the party believes that democracy failed. So how can they believe in democracy when they also believe it failed ?

    Seems tomorrows hearing is postponed (due to technical/AV reasons). I'm sure MAGAworld will try and make something out of that.

    Personally, I'm glad, since I'm on vacay, and won't be able to see any daytime hearings this week...

    I really wanted to see DOJ day....

    I'm dying to hear the background story behind

    "Just say that the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen,"

    More intent that fatty knew the election WASN'T corrupt...

    How? How do you reach that conclusion? And all Newsweek say is the hearings might hurt Trumps re-election chances which is pretty much the intention.

    Yes and I didn't see ANY of that? What hearings did YOU watch? I don't think the people avoiding the dog and pony show are the ones with the confirmation bias.

    Yes, of course they did. They've accepted every loss in history and peacefully hand over power. That so many believe there was cheating and were still content to hand over power shows how much they do believe in democracy.

    No one was there to overturn the election, just to make the legislature aware of their feelings. Anyone who committed criminal damage or attacked the police deserves to be punished. As do BLM/Antifa.

    The MAGA were only on Capitol Hill to visit .... and by the way to prevent Pence from certifying the results.

    Which is the same as saying they wanted to overturn the election.

    By a legal process? Not by a violent seizure of power.

    How are they any different to the pro-life protesters or BLM? Are they sheep? Not wrong to try to influence politicians via public protest, that's certainly what happened in the Kavanaugh hearings.

    They were sent to delay/stop a constitutional process, to buy time for the Eastman plan to take effect...

    Damn near worked, too....

    Actually, it is kinda wrong to try and influence politicians by breaking into their place of work and chanting to hang one.... Pretty sure I read that somewhere...
