Wednesday should be a key day of Hearings.... 3 former DOJ people (T**** appointees all) will describe the plan to replace them with a demented political hack at the end.... and we know T**** was actively involved in those meetings... SNIP Three former Justice Department leaders at the center of former President Trump’s pressure campaign to put the might of the department behind his baseless claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election will appear before the Jan. 6 panel on Wednesday. “Mr. President, these aren’t bureaucratic leftovers from another administration. You picked them. This is your leadership team. You sent every one of them to the Senate; you got them confirmed. What is that going to say about you, when we all walk out at the same time? … And what happens if, within 48 hours, we have hundreds of resignations from your Justice Department because of your actions? What does that say about your leadership?” Donoghue said. ENDSNIP https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-doj-officials-testify-jan-171535981.html Obviously, the world's most obvious rhetorical question....
Former Fox political editor says he will testify at January 6 committee hearing By Andrew Millman Updated 10:33 AM ET, Fri June 10, 2022 Chris Stirewalt, former Fox editor, said he'll testify at the next January 6 committee hearing. (CNN)Chris Stirewalt, the former Fox political editor, said Friday that he will be a witness during the House January 6 committee's next public hearing on Monday. "I have been called to testify before this committee and will do so on Monday," he said during an appearance on NewsNation, where he is employed as political editor. Fox fired Stirewalt in January 2021 after the right-wing backlash to the network -- correctly -- calling Arizona for now-President Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election. Stirewalt wrote in a Los Angeles Times piece after his firing that the refusal to believe the election results among many of former President Donald Trump's supporters was a "tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation." ... https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/10/politics/former-fox-editor-january-6-commitee-hearing/index.html I think it's really remarkable that Faux News fired him for telling the truth about the 2020 election. Faux is no better than Russian state media, it would seem, to say nothing of the even more looney tunes Newsmax and OANN.
The Republicans that were loyal to Trump, saved Trump from eternal damnation. I think Trump had something to do with the incident that happened January 6 fiasco that happened at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. I was shocked with disbelief, and I was very much outraged by this. Trump was probably upset when he lost to Biden. It was the right thing to do by the people because trump messed up when he was President, and the People of the United States did not want Trump to rule again. The United States of America had it with Trump and had spoken.
No worries... Faux certainly won't cover a former Faux employee under oath. Hearing 2 is "The Big Lie", or "How I learned to stop worrying and make **** up about the election" That was an amazingly early call for Arizona that night... not sure I would have made that at the time, but that guy had his data and he was proven to be right..
@Durandal This isn't necessarily about 1/6, but this is another MAGA Moron who's starting to realize his GQP election grift is ending and the receipts are due My state made a horrible decision last November, but I'm so glad I don't live in one of these battleground states, where the most embarrassing people on the planet seem to live Read this... it's nearly identical to the end of the Cyber Ninjas/Arizona mess.... https://www.yahoo.com/news/judge-finds-michael-gableman-contempt-164312809.html
I hope voters will be thinking more about the future our republic this November than about some economic pain that is largely or entirely outside of Congress's ability to control! What the GOP has become is growing increasingly pathetic and alarming at the same time.
Help me out, bro... is this more in the pathetic category or alarming category?? I just call it Idiots on Parade!! https://www.yahoo.com/news/republicans-pledge-investigation-jan-6-174943289.html Let's see, where have I recently heard about R's investigating the investigators and it blew up in their face??
Did you ever hear of this completely nutty idea, or was this new with some committee releases this week? SNIP On Thursday, the Jan. 6 Committee released text messages between Hannity and then-White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. In those text messages, Hannity appears to debrief McEnany on a conversation he had with Trump the day after the attack on the U.S. Capitol. One item from that conversation: “He was intrigued by the pardon idea!! (Hunter)” A person familiar with the conversations confirmed to The Daily Beast that the “Hunter” in the text was, in fact, Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden and a longtime target of conservative critics—Hannity foremost among them. ENDSNIP https://www.yahoo.com/news/hannity-proposed-hunter-biden-pardon-222118126.html A preemptive pardon for Hunter was brought to T**** by Hannity the day after 1/6?? Too freaking weird....
First I've heard of it. If Hannity wanted "healing," he might have tried using his voice at Faux to make it happen. What a weirdo.
What Jack Del Rio said about the January 6th conflict was uncalled for. What Del Rio ought to do is to keep his damn mouth shut. This does not involve him. It could show that Del Rio is somewhat racist. As far as Trump is concerned, Trump deliberately planned this and it's his fault for this. Why didn't he do anything to stop this? There is something mentally wrong with Trump and he might be emotionally disturbed of all things. Trump ought to put into a state hospital for his own safety and his own good. Trump can be dangerous, and I mean it.
THE JANUARY 6 SHOW TRIAL IS NOT RESONATING MUCH WITH THE PUBLIC, BUT, INFLATION IS: Dems solution? Show Trials, Show Arrests, Liz Cheney!
I think it's pretty obvious this is an attempt to string this out to the midterms in order try to bash the GOP. I also think it's pretty obvious it's not going to work.
Here's a semi-interesting story about a completely uninteresting woman... SNIP In the wake of the January 6 Capitol riot, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said she resigned from her Cabinet position after she learned that Vice President Mike Pence wouldn't support invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office. DeVos' comments come ahead of the release of her new book, "Hostages No More: The Fight for Education Freedom and the Future of the American Child," which comes out on June 21. ENDSNIP https://www.yahoo.com/news/betsy-devos-says-she-resigned-200504878.html Sounds like a little historical CYA to me... She comes out with this "story" 2 weeks ahead of her book release.... The interesting news (to me) is that talks about the 25th got to the point of Pence telling cabinet members he wasn't on board..... If I knew that, I'd forgotten I knew it... Yet another strike against VP Q-tip...
Your first sentence is complete and utter nonsense.... However, I agree with you (I think.... you are all over the map, so who knows?) that it would be a monumentally shitty idea for Joe to go to Saudi Arabia, sunglasses in hand... I'm glad to see this trip isn't 100% locked and I hope it doesn't happen.... because nothing would happen.... https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/1-biden-says-not-yet-203441913.html
Day 2 Hearings tomorrow, with a surprise witness.... Bill Stepien, 2020 campaign manager Tres interesting... https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/former-fox-news-editor-trump-210612243.html In fact, it appears many of tomorrow's witnesses are members of the GOP, testifying to the Big Lie....
Not only did Trump lie to those rally attendees about Pence's authority, he has been calling for Pence to be investigated for not overturning the election in the past few months. I just don't understand why any of his "supporters" are okay with him putting a target on Pence with a lie.
Former Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien will no longer be appearing in front of the Jan. 6 committee today "due to a family emergency," according to a release from the committee. "Due to a family emergency, Mr. William Stepien is unable to testify before the Select Committee this morning. His counsel will appear and make a statement on the record," according to the release. Stepien, who was at the center of former President Trump’s orbit as he sought to overturn the results of the 2020 election, was not eager to testify but did not want to defy a subpoena, a source familiar with his thinking told CNN's Kaitlan Collins.
Hahaha love it. I called it, the jan 6th fiery but peaceful protest of no consequence hyper partisan committee went no where and continues to do so. The lefts narrative crumbled upon cross examination.
IF the GOP gains control of the Legislative and the Executive branch, democracy will be a thing of the past in America
