I can completely gauge interest in football, since I’m the one starting this thread. WTH? My first year in FF. Still learning, but I got Mahomes and Kelce. I tried to grab a bear, since I am a Chicago girl, but the couple I wanted disappeared. I’ve so few people to to talk football with. LOL.
Mahomes & Kelce are a good start. Hopefully you have a good RB I stopped playing FF, I was too obsessive over it
There's a whole lotta football left to play, but right now the Bills look like the team to beat. Josh Allen looked fantastic Thursday. The only other teams that impressed me last week were the Chiefs and Chargers. I would add the Bucs to the list but they played a Cowboys team that underwhelmed... Biggest disappointments? Rams, Cardinals and Titans...
I stopped FF years ago, because it was taking too much time with the trades, injuries, evaluating opponents etc. Dolphins Hard Rock Arena is sold out. 11 cars went up in flames on Sunday after someone decided to leave a hot grill under his car. Maybe certain people are returning to the sport now that they are no longer told to boycott football.
Not surprised about any of those disappointments nor the Bengals. All those teams that have a # of issues Hopefully we get Bills/Chiefs in the AFC title game as the winner of that should win the SB Dumbest decision of the week - the Broncos settling for a 64 yard field goal on 4th and 5 - lol
Yeah, that's my kicker. LOL It's my first year of FF. It changes how you watch the games. My Bears were not a complete disaster. My husband's Chiefs did what they do. Burrow was a disaster,, and WTH with the Pats? They looked bad.
Not surprised about the Pats. Dolphins should be decent and I don't think Jones is any good Absolutely on FF. I am a die hard Eagles fans and it was always difficult, starting players on my team that were facing the Eagles Bears had a nice win. Love the slide one of them did in the water Did you win your FF?
No - two of my guys gave me zero points. I would have won if they had gotten seven points combined. Akers, RB and Robinson II - WR Overall, not a terrible first week. Yahoo gave me a B. LOL I got 110 points.
That was a nice win for the Bears, and their Slip 'N Slide at the end of the game was the highlight of the weekend (for me at least)... "Da Bears are goin' to beat da Bills 73-0 in the Super Bowl!"
Sunday was HORRIFIC for Faves... Great for Underdogs... Some Survivor Pools lost over half their entrants in Wk #1... B/c the following teams Lost (or tied, which is a Loss in most survivor polls): 49ers Ravens Colts (Tie) Titans Broncos
Yeah, I realized that after I posted it... But was too late to *edit*... I meant BENGALS... I Fixed It... Some Survivor Pools lost over half their entrants in Wk #1... B/c the following teams Lost (or tied, which is a Loss in most survivor polls): 49ers BENGALS Colts (Tie) Titans Broncos
Hope springs eternal! They're favored this weekend for the first time in a couple years! We're on our way now!
I thought my Eagles were going to blow that game Sunday. Your offense looked good. I will be rooting for you Sunday
Lions Won 3 NFL Titles in the 1950's...'52, '53, '57... Total Playoff Futility Since Then (Except for 1 Win with Barry)... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199201050det.htm
I watched that game. Hated the Cowboys so was thrilled when they lost If the Eagles had only 1 playoff win in 65 years, the fanbase would have deserted them. Lions fans are truly devoted
Yup, one would have to have been born in 1957 (Either Age 65 or Age 64 with a late birthday) to have even been old enough to have been a Newborn in 1957, even to claim witnessing the '57 Title...
I was born in 68 Eagles had last won a title in 1960 before the 2017 season. As the Super Bowl approached,, I saw a # of fans wearing shirts with a "Just one before I die" message. During the game (in my own version of praying), I know I was "promising" to never criticize anything the Eagles did again if they won. That lasted about 2 games the following season. The Lions need a QB. I just don't think Goff is good enough.
They had Stafford for something like 13 years before last year. Somehow I don't think a QB is the answer.
