Bad day to be a fan of the "Awesome Chiefs" or the "Unstoppable Bills"... Both teams have horrible coaching and totally lack any sort of Professional Pride... Mahomes is getting paid $40 Million regardless... He (obviously, based on today's Horrifically Prideless Performance) doesn't care if he wins or loses... Last year's AFC Champ Game Proved That... Buffalo looked "Unstoppable", and then lay the biggest egg since Allen became QB... Today the Bills must have been trying to outdo that Franchise-Defining BUST vs KC last year in the AFC Semi-Final... Hard to imagine a bigger pair of Overpaid, Overhyped, Choking LOSERS (especially, this early in the season) as Mahomes and Allen...
Yeah - wasn't pretty, but I'll take it Some worrisome injuries though Great win by the Bills today on the road
Statement win by the 49ers last night, 24-9 over the defending champs. Does anyone still believe that team is better with Trey Lance at QB? I never did. As for the 2-2 Rams, they look all out of sorts after blowout losses to the Niners and Bills. Big fat "Meh!" on next weekend's college and pro football matchups - looks like it's gonna be a good weekend to get stuff done outside....
There are some QBs like Garrapalo, Phil Simms, Jim Plunkett who don't always put up big numbers, but just win. Rams were lucky to a win a SB last year. Not a great team, but a good enough team to take advantage My Eagles have a 4:25 game vs the Cards and I have Phillies playoff games, so I'll be watching sports all weekend
Yup, and it seems to me that Garoppolo's injuries have been his biggest problem, although I have friends who are 49er fans who say it's his decision making. I considered the Rams one of the best teams in the NFL last year. This year, not so much, but it's still early in the season... Saved by the MLB playoffs. My second favorite team is the Cardinals so I'll be watching baseball, too. Earlier I thought the Eagles-Cards game would have been a good one but AZ has been disappointing this season. As for the Eagles, I thought they did the most of any team in the NFL to improve themselves in the off-season and I expect them to win the NFC Least unless the Cowboys get a lot better and/or the Eagles get bit by the injury bug.
I see the Eagles/Cards as a trap game with the Cowboys up next. I think it will be close either way Hmm, as of now it will be Phillies vs Cardinals, so revenge time for 2011!!!!
We have so much fun watching red zone every Sunday, morphing into SNF. I’m hearing rumors that next Sunday is a good time for football fans to do some yard work. I hope it’s a lie.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles dusted Arizona. If I were betting on that game I'd take the Eagles to win and cover the spread. MLB pretty much lost this fan during the '94 strike. Except for a few Cubs games in the Friendly Confines (where I saw my first baseball game as a kid) I don't follow baseball until late September, and it the Cardinals weren't in the playoffs I probably wouldn't bother watching them either. I'm looking forward to seeing Albert Pujols back in a Cardinals uniform, though - I hope he has a monster postseason.
The matchups look boring on paper, but Chicago vs. Minnesota looks intriguing. This is a big early season game for the Bears - they don't want to fall two games behind the Packers and Vikings. "Da Bears, 107-0! Justin Fields throws for a thousand yards!!"
Dolphins were looking very good beating BAL 42-37 and then Buffalo the next week. Then Tagovailoa suffered a concussion the next game (maybe even during the BUF game) and now he is out at least this week against Jets.
The Phins have looked good, but I hope they sit Tua down for a few more weeks (at least). Two concussions in two games is nothing to play with. Hopefully, Bridgewater can buy them a few wins and Tua some more time to recover.
We'll see. They have a chance against Jets, who have not been very good lately and after that they host the Vikings, and I think they'll need Tua for that game. Bridgewater was drafted in 2013 and this the 6th team he plays for, and that says something about how productive he has been. They do have some easier games coming up after that.
Yes, Bridgewater is mediocre, but I would take advantage of the soft schedule and park Tua for a few more weeks. The Dolphins have to think long term about this - the kid is the future of the franchise.
Clutch Win by KC on MNF... Trailed the Raiders by 17 points (0-17)... KC Won 30-29... Clutch...Mahomes Rediscovers Professional.Pride...
Dolphins are playing their 3rd string QB and his backup is a wide receiver who last played QB in high school. The new concussion protocol is pure BS.
