    Why the denial?
    Clearly the rally was QAnon.
    From the link....

Author Kurt Eichenwald added that “this week, Trump posted QAnon memes, played QAnon theme music at his rally, and stood by as the crowd raises their fingers in the QAnon salute. This is the GOP’s supposed leader.

And way more than some who follow a 2X impeached voted out incumbent.
And cost his party control of the Senate this midterm.

LOL. There it is again. Blame all others, never accept responsibility. The trump GOP.
The very reason real Americans voted his butt out of office and rejected the candidates whom he backed this cycle.

There was a time when republicans used to say everyone needs to be responsible for their actions.
Today, thanks to trump, they R party takes responsibility for nothing.
But does a lot of finger pointing and pushing of conspiracy theories.

Former vice president Mike Pence is a master at the understatement. It comes from his unwillingness to commit, particularly in a television interview. Then again, politicians by nature are afraid of commitment, and rarely answer a question from the interviewer. Instead, they talk, mostly about themselves, but rarely say anything of importance.

Pence said Donald Trump’s rhetoric during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol was “reckless?”

Reckless? It wasn't reckless it was dangerous. Dangerous for our country. Dangerous for Pence and his family. And dangerous for lawmakers who were running for their lives on Jan. 6.

On Jan. 6, 2021, far-right extremist groups loyal to Trump descended on the Capitol, many chanting “Stop the steal!” as they echoed Trump’s unfounded allegations of massive voter fraud in the 2020 election. Many also chanted “Hang Mike Pence!”

The Post reports, "Five people died in or as a result of the Jan. 6 attack, and about 140 police officers were assaulted when a pro-Trump mob stormed the U.S. Capitol, breaking through security barriers and forcing lawmakers and aides to barricade themselves inside their offices as they feared for their lives. Police rushed other members of Congress, including the House and Senate leadership, to secure locations.

"I think it's basically the third election in a row that Donald Trump has cost us the race, and it's like three strikes, you're out. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result," Republican governor Mike Hogan of Maryland.

Donald Trump is currently full-steam ahead on announcing his candidacy for President on Tuesday.

What the hell is the Republican Party doing? Well, whatever it is, it cost them. Americans rejected extremism.

Who said anything about Presidents contributing or not? Not only do you have problems reading, you read things that aren't even there.

But to be clear, Trump DID NOT contribute. In fact, for the first time in our history we were very very close to not being great when that idiot was President* (asterisk)

    EXTREMISM????? LOLOL.... too funny... example:
"five died as the result of Jan 6... all natural causes. The only one to die of violence was an unarmed, female veteran shot by a cop
Such unmitigated propaganda... its entertaining though

Good grief! I summarized your point that under Democrat Presidents we were better off than under Republican ones. Your line about it always being great was your attempt at making it sound fair. It was a throw away statement without any real sincerity or insight behind it.

'Inside Kari Lake’s war room, where Republicans prepare for likely loss'

The subdued mood marks a reversal from just days earlier, when the GOP gubernatorial nominee in Arizona was readying a transition team

    Updated November 14, 2022 at 5:41 p.m.

    Snips:

"Lawyers, political operatives and other people around the Republican nominee worked over the weekend from a “war room” inside a Scottsdale resort to prepare her for what they expect to be a stinging loss to Democrat Katie Hobbs, according to people familiar with the discussions, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share private details.

With about 160,000 votes left to be counted, Lake trailed Hobbs on Monday by 26,000 votes. Recent tallies have not been as favorable to the Republican as Lake would need to close the gap. She may even be slipping out of the range that would trigger a recount, which occurs when no more than 0.5 percent of the vote separates the candidates."

"Some campaign aides and Republican operatives, looking at internal data, have grown increasingly doubtful over the last three days that Lake has a path to victory."

" To remain viable, they said, she may need to claim as much as 65 percent of the next batch of votes in Maricopa County, home to Phoenix and more than half of the state’s voters, while also over-performing in Pima County, home to Tucson".

"Within Lake’s war room, where the mood has shifted in the past week from giddy anticipation to grim resignation, discussions have centered on how Lake should speak about a loss. Among those who have made appearances are some of the biggest names in Trump’s orbit, including Stephen K. Bannon and Christina Bobb, a former One America News anchor who aided a review of 2.1 million ballots in Maricopa County after the 2020 election. Trump himself called in on Sunday.":roflol:

"Discussions have ranged from how Lake could acknowledge a loss to whether she should adopt Trump’s playbook and claim the election was stolen from her. Some want her message to center on problems with printers on Election Day that affected 30 percent of polling sites."

“Nobody is advocating to go storm the castle,” one person familiar with the discussions said, while multiple people said the conversations were fluid and that anger about the process on Election Day was pronounced."

"People around Lake have told her it would not be in her best interest to claim the election was stolen. They have also warned of possible harm to Arizona, and the country more broadly, if the state became home to a resurgent “Stop the Steal” movement. Others have cautioned against disrupting the ongoing count and decided that there is little the campaign can meaningfully do to change the outcome."

I backed up my assertion with a citation. I am sick of Trump but the abortion issue and MSM was more a factor. I heard tonight that a study performed at NC State suggested that Google's bias (both the search logarithms and the action of GOP candidates mail being far more likely to be sent to SPAM folders than Democrats at gmail) could influence approximately 20% of undecided voters in favor of the Democrats.

abortion and the MSM was the main reasons. Trump probably cost a seat or two in the senate. Abortion is why Oz lost and why that idiot Kelly won.

Where are you getting your data from.
Inflation was the #1 issue with most of the voters.

CRs are not the way to go here. And they only say the same spending based on year X, which puts a hurt on all federal agencies, including the DoD and DHS.

But that depends on who is president at that time. There is no doubt that Lincoln, Washington, and FDR contributed greatness by being president, but at the same time, can you say the same with Andrew Johnson, James Buchanan, or even Franklin Pierce?

CR's are awful... I lived under many of them in the Army and, later as a civilian contractor in defense. A CR essentially re-authorizes a previous budget from the prior year... nothing more. So there are no new programs, no new R&D, no new acquisitions... you are correct.. it "puts a hurt" on lots of people.

And gas prices were rising at the end of the President Trump's turn. Was that his fault?

Inflation was low under Trump even though we were spending far more under him than under Obama's 8 years?

Trump started a trade war, with China and Europe, and even tried with Canada. That is still a war though

And yet, we broke records in 2019 for illegal alien crossings, capture, etc. But what Trump did to achieve those numbers is that he failed to get that illegal in California but is perfectly willing to go afte ran illegal whose only crime was entry without inspection ONCE and yet owned a restaurant, was paying taxes, etc.

You just can't look at the numbers and expect that nothing in between happened. That is just ludicrous.
