So many strawmen, so unsurprising. It would be useful if you'd try to keep up. All this caterwauling started with my indictment of school boards nationwide putting Genderqueer: A Memoir in school libraries.

Cherry-picking examples of deviant behavior (sin) condemned in religious texts as somehow equivalent to pornography is beyond asinine. The Bible says you shouldn't. Genderqueer: A Memoir says you should, and shows you how. If you don't see the difference, it can't be explained to you.

Jimminy crickets. Local voters vote the school board.
Local community can attend a school board meeting.

so you can't just agree that those things all should not be in a grade school child's library?

    Your 1st link put a pop-up for a subscription.

    Link 2.
Gender Queer" by Maia Kobabe is described by its publisher as a memoir of a young person who is trying to explain to their family what it means to be nonbinary and asexual. The book is a graphic novel, featuring illustrated comics to tell the story

    Didn't check any other.

    Fake.
    School boards are local elected.
    And local removed.
Your 1or 2 stories are not a national crisis.
    Hardly a local crisis.
    Trans people are real people.
    You can't change that.

I'm sure you're right. It's all fake. CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, The Philidelphia Inquirer, The Chicago Sun-Times all colluding to pull a fast one. I'll wager it's part & parcel of Hillary's Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy®.

I don't believe that is in a "school" library-- unless you mean a college library. What school?

That is probably why the school boards, have the nuts who read these things, escorted out: those parents are brainwashed, on nonsense.

Here is the story, from your link #11. It confirms what @dairyair had discovered: that the book is about someone who is asexual. So, either the writers over at Simon & Schuster, don't know the meaning of that word, or the supposed excerpt you provided, does not seem to jibe with that description. I wonder if it is the same book. If it is, is that one page you show, the only one, that depicts-- and with nothing close to photo realism-- graphic sexuality? If so, while it does seem racy to me, I don't see that it would be harmful. What do you or others contend will be the repercussions, of having high school students see this cartoon?

    <Snip>

CANUTILLO, Texas -- Canutillo Independent School District will return an LGBTQ-themed book to its high school library following a formal review into a parent’s complaint that the graphic novel was inappropriate because it contained sexually explicit content.

A nine-member committee of educators, librarians and parents voted 8-1 Tuesday for author Maia Kobabe’s “Gender Queer: A Memoir” to remain on Canutillo High School library’s shelves for students to check out, the district announced Wednesday.

“The committee carefully examined the content of the book based on a rubric to determine factors such as its artistic quality and/or literary style; age appropriateness of the subject area; ability for readers to gain an awareness of a pluralistic society and capacity to provide information to motivate students and staff to examine their own attitudes and behavior to make informed choices in their daily lives,” the committee said in a statement.

“Gender Queer” is one of a handful of books parents and conservative state lawmakers across the country have attempted to ban from public schools. Most are written by LGBTQ authors and writers of color and explore gender, sexuality and systematic racism.

“Gender Queer” chronicles Kobabe’s journey to identifying as nonbinary and asexual. Its publisher, Simon & Schuster, describes it as “a useful and touching guide on gender identity -- what it means and how to think about it -- for advocates, friends, and humans everywhere” and recommends it for readers in 10th grade and above.

Your question, misrepresents the facts. Just as a tip: catching someone, trying to perpetrate a fraud, makes most people less likely to then believe other things, which the fraudster contends. This book is recommended for tenth grade and above. Do any of your sources, not say that it is a high school library, which carries this book? FYI, high school is considered SECONDARY education, not "primary school."

If you really have a good case, it is foolish to befoul it, with false information which will then detract from the credibility of the rest. You are giving me a flashback, to a cartoon that I hated (yet watched) as a kid, called the Wacky Racers-- to be clear, having nothing to do with masturbation. Every single race, this one racer would be in first place, but, instead of going on to merely cross the finish line, he would stop, with time to construct some elaborate trap, to stop the rest. And, every time, it would fail, and everyone else would immediately afterward, cross the finish. Just an utterly stupid strategy.

So you're saying our culture was the same in 1800 as it was in 2000, or even 1950?

That's like saying that a Democrat Politician has never made a threat against a Republican, or their media, or their politicians.

You have chunky schummer, telling Supreme Court Justice that he wil "reap the worldwind".

You have Maxine Watters, telling her Democrat voters, as she yelled it, to harrass Republicans, and Republican Politicians.

And you have Democrat Politicians giving out addresses of Republican Politicians, and a Supreme Court Justice.

Now, if you don't know any of this already, we have nothing to talk about, because that means, that you're lacking knowledge, for which then you turn around and ask, question to Republicans, at which point, you're only asking, not because you want to hear the truth of the matter, or any logical moral answer, but simply to question Republicans in general.

Because all democrats are very good at questioning Republicans, and our politicians, but never their own. Actions speak louder than words. Most democrat Politicians defy our Amendments not out in the open. They're stupid, but not that stupid. They do thinks like pass legislature as quickly as possible, without giving Americans to look into it, or Republican Politicians to look it over thoroughly. They do it, by having most platforms on the internet be politically correct. Weather it is redefining the definition of a Word, therefore, redefining morality.

Or hindering Conservative Freedom of Speech, and banning anyone that doesn't conform to their Agenda.

Equity and excellence are diametrically opposed. The Bronx High School of Science has produced seven noble prize winners, more than any other high school in the world. But wokesters think its admission requirements inequitable.

Well, they say J. Edgar was a transvestite, so you probably have a point.

What's changed is that apparently for quite a few number of years the woke dogma has been secretly taught in public schools. That's the scary part to me.

You've made an excellent point & highlighted a mistake on my part. I've always drawn the distinction between primary & secondary education: K-12 v. college. That was careless, but my point stands. Depictions of sex between minors has no business in high schools. Or college. Or homes - yours, mine, or anyone else's.

It's the same book. There is ample footage online of pissed off parents trying to read the 'I want to suck your ****' & other choice passages before their school boards and having their mics turned off & being ordered to leave.

There are other equally graphic images. dairyair’s continued sputtering that this just has to be fake & made up is certainly graphic enough for him.

This is just one of many controversial titles, I chose it only because of the pictures. Another one (a novel, no pics) is All Boys Aren't Blue. Do a search for 'all boys aren't blue explicit passages' and get back to me. If you believe any of the above belongs in any school anywhere, all I can do is commend your honesty; and promise that you & your ilk would never have been permitted around my kids, had you been equally open and honest back then.

This happened in Kansas, of all places. Not NYC or KKKalifornia:

Former Kansas middle school teacher Pamela Ricard was suspended last year after repeatedly deadnaming and using the incorrect pronouns of an LGBTQ student. She sued, and on Wednesday, the case settled with the school district paying her $95,000...

...In October 2021, the school board updated their policy to say that parents would not be notified of the preferred name and pronoun change unless students specifically requested it...

The first rule in the groomer handbook: Don't tell your parents. Every wokester on every school board is in lockstep; this is the world their religion wants us live in:
