You could say the same for any major power in the post-WW2 era, since other than the Russo-Ukraine spat most of the major powers used proxy state warfare, and that's where the whole 'weapons template' thing comes in. But hell, do we think that China doesn't have its own West Point Academy? The history of China is full of warfare. There've been many Chinese generals and chinese wars(although mainly on its own territory. Kind of a similar story to Russian expansion actually with its federalism) but the point is, that leadership had been well trained in warfare up until the modern time.

In a slight contrast to Russia, whenever Russia is in a major conflict either she's able to outlast people with a bunch of body bags or the large territorial space makes a formal invasion of Russia difficult. And that's why Russia conducts her foreign policy the way she does. She wants to create as much space as possible between herself and Western European countries(the problem with invasions and annexation is that the more territory you have, the closer your 'others' become and so it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy for the Russians)

So maybe the weapons are similar, re-engineered, etc. But even with all of that, China very much does have a technological base for modernization that the Russians don't have. That's why the arms race is of a huge concern to Washington. And it wouldn't be if China were just 'taking Russia's old stuff'. We've been laughing at the Chinese industrial economy for decades, convincing ourselves that all they do is steal intellectual property and yet through the 2020's, they're still here. In defiance of our expectations.

'Know thyself, know thy enemy;'. The comparison to Russia, bares no strategic value. In fact, China should be so lucky if the brass of the Pentagon continues to think the situation in the Pacific, is the same as the situation in Moscow.

Your other major point is that we'll know when an invasion is about to begin, and they can't hide it. Well, unlike in Europe where we've established a bunch of forward bases, we're only now just starting to patch together an Asian-American front. If Taiwan were to suddenly be taken by the Chinese, we wouldn't be able to defend the Taiwanese in time.(now holding Taiwan, is a different proposition and it is honestly THAT, that the Chinese military brass is planning, not so much whether or not they'd see the invasion.)

Because again, they are totally different. Regardless of the length of time between an invasion and an attack. That gap in time, is unlikely to be filled by the US. Especially because Taiwan is not a part of NATO, and though we're expected to defend the territory we haven't outright said it.(that's where Trump had a moment of strategic brilliance, before being asked to back down.)

In reality, had we bolstered Taiwanese and Asian-American ally defenses in 2017, we probably aren't having this discussion right now. But because we've lolly gagged, it's given China more time to prepare. One way to understand Beijing is to understand their current position regarding the Russo-Ukraine war(since the Pentagon has the fault in its planning that this war is supposed to matter to them.). China's official position has been not to criticize the Russian Government, but instead it claims to want to meditate the situation between the two parties. China is well aware privately, that such a mediation isn't likely to happen. So why bother attempting?

To keep the conflict going. Because again, in ignoring the situation: China is prepared to accept the loss of Russia. They've been predominant rivals in Eurasia, and if the Russians get bogged down and Chinese influence can expand, they will do that. If both Russia and the West are bogged down, while they can escape the situation unscathed, they will do that.

There's literally nothing, not a single thing that's similar between the two war theaters. China enjoys technological superiority to the Russians, they enjoy a mass economic infrastructure superior to the Russians. They've linked themselves to the Western World in such a way that even though we oppose them on policy, to take the same actions as against Russia would be economically suicidal.

China can survive an economic war with the West, we would be absolutely devastated by one. Especially for example with the semi-conductor issue that was raised recently with respect to Taiwan.

    Looks DOA to me.
We all know that Cohen was a liar and conman, even Cohen admits it..lol
Cohen had credible evidence, documents and audio and there were many other witnesses who have testified before the GJ.
He turned state's evidence when he was left holding the bag and looking at a lot of time and going under financially.
Cohen blames himself and wants Trump to be held accountable for his role.
A vendetta didn't conjure up Cohen's evidence against Trump being used by prosecutors,

'What Trump Ally Plans to Tell Grand Jury About Michael Cohen, According to Source'

'Robert Costello briefly acted as a legal adviser to Michael Cohen after the FBI raided Cohen's home and apartment in 2018. He is expected to testify before the Manhattan grand jury Monday'

"A source familiar with what Costello is prepared to tell the grand jury says the testimony includes calling Cohen a liar and a convicted perjurer, as well as a notorious embellisher of stories. According to the source, Costello plans to say Cohen wanted to show he could take care of the Stormy Daniels situation and believed he would be rewarded down the line for doing so. Costello also planned to tell the grand jury that Cohen told him he was furious with Trump at a meeting in February 2019, and that he blames Trump for his personal and legal difficulties and wants him to pay.

Cohen also allegedly told Costello he was suicidal in 2018 amid his own legal woes, the source said. Each of those expected statements seeks to support the defense position Cohen had a vendetta against Trump and that's why he agreed to testify in the Daniels case. For his part, Cohen has said he has no such ill will toward the former president.

The source said Costello will try to paint a picture of an angry and depressed Cohen seeking retribution."

Of course not, but his lack of experience could help explain his hysterically funny post comparing a civil settlement to a hush money payment...

You'd be angry and depressed too if you went sent to prison (twice), partially for doing what your boss asked, including lying to Congress...

Not to mention the fact that you were taken in by a conman for a decade plus.... Hard to bounce back from that...

How does one prove the law you imagined does not exist? Why dont you back up your assertion. Election results are disputed and challenged all the time.

Watch the vid. Only a fool would claim his brain is shot after seeing him speak there.

And he was spot-on about Soros as is evidenced by the links in #389, particularly the 2nd one:

"Soros also donated $1 million to Alvin Bragg’s successful DA campaign in Manhattan, funneling the cash through the Color of Change political action committee, according to public filings."

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson shelled out more than $15 million in hush money to moonwalk away from child-molestation allegations a decade ago, legal papers reveal.

    ...

The civil settlement derailed Santa Barbara County authorities, who couldn't press a criminal case against Jackson without his accuser's cooperation.

Johnny and Rob Kardashian have been there a while, F. Lee dropped by in 2021 and Bob and Alan have their seats waiting (all warmed up)

This started when you claimed that Clinton paid "hush money".

Clinton did NOT pay Jones 850,000 in "hush money".
Clinton's terms were not private, civil litigation/courts were involved.

Trump's 130,000 and 150,000 to Stormy/McDougal was 'Hush money" with an NDA agreement, private no court litigation

Jackson paid millions in "hush money" NDA agreement, private,no court litigation
