Costello just did a presser after his 2.5 hours in front of the GJ.

My takeaway? He seems to have nothing on point to the case.... Cohen was upset after having his offices raided and angry at Trump...

I think I could have made that testimony...

I stay out of all George Soros business... Seems to be a man with a lot of money who doesn't seem to like conservatives (and vice versa)...

    Works for me....

    Trump is so ****ing stupid,
This GJ has been at it for months and shown god knows how much evidence and listened to and could question slews of witnesses and had Cohen who was with Trump throughout the Stormy/McDougal ordeal and Costello was going to walk in and do his character shaming on Cohen and what? lol

"Costello must have been a dud. "Cohen not needed," according to Lanny Davis
    Robert Costa @costareports
UPDATE from outside Manhattan criminal court: Lanny Davis tells CBS that Michael Cohen was "available for over two hours today" at Manhattan grand jury but "we are pleased to report that Mr. Cohen was not needed." He was available but not called before the grand jury.

Well, I understand the GJ works Trump hours (2pm to 5pm, with the rest listed as Executive Time), and Costello didn't leave until @4:50.... The GJ meets again on Wednesday, so we'll see if Cohen shows up.

He's about to appear live on Ari Melber... see if he has any updates.....

But YES! to your first sentence, regardless of context or case....

It seems like even Trump's detractors are coming out calling this a political hit job. It will only end up making him more popular. So who are the real ****ing stupid ones? Those that can't get over Trump.

No one honestly buys the "hit job" garbage that wasn't already in Trump's back pocket anyway. And it won't make him more popular. Sure, it will get his most unhinged based riled up, but it is going to turn off moderates.

Agreed. He spoke at length, but said nothing substantive.

Here's some of what was tried by Costello.

'New York City grand jury hears from final witnesses in Trump investigation'
    Monday, March 20, 2023 5:57PM

    snips:
"Following his testimony to the grand jury, Costello accused his former client Michael Cohen of having a "lie, cheat, steal" mindset who is an unreliable witness on which to base an indictment of former President Trump."

"I'm trying to tell the truth to the grand jury, if they want to go after Donald Trump and they have solid evidence then so be it. Michael Cohen is not solid evidence," Costello said.

Costello testified for about two and a half hours, during which he said he described an initial meeting with Cohen, "talking to us while pacing like a wild tiger" and vowing "to do whatever the F it takes" to avoid prison."

"He went to jail, now he's on the revenge tour," Costello said.

DeSantis comment, it definitely will get the PAB's whities in a tither,
Trump did claim to know stuff about DeSantis's private life that only Ron's wife may know..
    hehehe

"I don't know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some kind of alleged affair," DeSantis said at a news conference in Panama City. "I can't speak to that."

When you say this might make Trump 'more popular', I always go back to one of my favorites Simpsons lines of all time and laugh at both... Very early days of the show, but I find Trump and Montgomery Burns have a lot in common...

    SNIP
Campaign Manager: Congratulations, Mr. Burns. The latest polls show you're up six points.
Mr. Burns: Ah, giving me a total of?
    Campaign Manager: Six.
    ENDSNIP

His "popularity" will NEVER extend past the 46.86% of the popular vote he got in 2020.....

You do know that all the political pundits didn't think DJT had a chance in hell of winning the primaries (of 2016), let alone the general election. Are they still your bookies?

Way to find a time he wasn't quite as toxic.... 7 years sounds about right... O.J. was pretty popular in 1987 as well....

He drew to an inside straight in 2016... I'll never be able to understand why (I suspect how), but it happened....

Now he just tries to throw the cards that he's not eating into a hat.... and authorizing the longest losing streak since the Washington Generals...

I'll be sure to let my clients know that prosecutors will let their indictments "blow over" if they refuse in appear in court for their arraignment.

I read this Trump post earlier and didn't connect the underage boy part even though I had posted Trump had claimed to have something personal on DeSantis with today's quote by DeSantis not knowing how to pay hush money to a porn star.

Oh my, it's gonna get even uglier

Chris Rock Ask A Rhetorical Question: Chris Rock Asks Democrats, ‘Are You Stupid?’ for Wanting to Arrest Trump.

    Well....

'others have pointed out the hypocrisy of Trump’s potential arrest, given that Hillary Clinton faced a similar accusation but only paid a fine.'

He exclaimed, '“Are you guys really going to arrest Trump? Do you know this is only going to make him more popular? It’s like arresting Tupac. He’s just gonna sell more records. Are you stupid?” The comedian’s remarks were met with roaring laughter from the crowd that included the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Biden administration officials.'

'in the wake of the unprecedented raid on his Mar-a-Lago home, and Democrats’ blatantly partisan impeachment, Trump’s approval ratings went up, not down.'

'When Americans witness blatant abuses of power, they react accordingly. If Democrats persist in using the justice system to advance their partisan vendetta against Trump, they, not Trump, will suffer the political consequences.'

They've lost all control at this point, Trump will whip this Bragg clown, like a rented mule, in the Courtroom.

    Let 'er rip!
