Me thinks Mr. Bragg and the Democrats are thinking that they might have bitten off more than they can chew. Other Democrats are saying that they have a better case in Georgia where Trump was alleged to have tried to tamper with the electoral votes of that state. This gets back to the "banana republic" conduct of the Democrats, which is not playing well with civil libertarians and others who concerned about the republic.

The ballot box needs to decide these issues, not the courts. If the Democrats keep this up, they are going to undermine the respect that citizens have for the judiciary system. But then again, the Democrats don't give a damn about that because their goal is to undermine the republican system of government. One way, One Party! That is the Democrat goal.

 

I watched some coverage on the news yesterday. But journalists outnumbered protesters something like 5 to 1. It would not appear like he'll be able to pull another January 6... but we'll see....

House Republicans are vehemently defending Trump. What is interesting is that none of them are claiming Trump is innocent.

Instead, they lie. “This was personal money,” McCarthy told reporters when he was asked if he has concerns with the allegations Trump is facing in Manhattan.

Trump's lawyer at the time, Michael Cohen, was imprisoned because Trump used his own money? McCarthy is not only incompetent, he is downright stupid. It is hard to believe he said that.

McCarthy's problems do not end there.

That is standard procedure for House Republicans -- avoid the obvious issue, change the subject, and target the tormentor. That is exactly what House Republicans are doing -- avoid Trump's involvement entirely and blame the prosecutor and the Democrats.

"What we see before us is a political game being played by a local ... Look this isn't New York City, this is just a Manhattan, this is just a borough DA. Okay," McCarthy said.

It seems Stephanie Clifford — who goes by the name Stormy Daniels signed a statement "these stories are not true"... she signed this statement saying she never got hush money from Donald Trump... she did not state whether she got hush money from Cohen...

"When I met Donald Trump, he was gracious, professional, and a complete gentleman to me and EVERYONE in my presence," the statement said. "Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false. If I indeed did have a relationship with Donald Trump, trust me, you wouldn't be reading about it in the news, you would be reading about it in my book. But the fact of the matter is, these stories are not true."
