Strawman (honestly, how do you people so quickly come up with them) — I simply pointed out the subject is different in each. A hospital has a duty to treat under federal and state law usually (granted there are some exceptions for religious hospitals) where generally an individual surgeon that doesn’t want to perform a procedure will not be made to do so.

    Nor should they

Now the hospital may fire them but that isn’t really force. No one should be forced to do any type of sensitive treatment that they do not wish to do — it would be unethical to require such.

A hospital does not have a duty to perform elective cosmetic surgery. That's such a silly thing to say. And they can't force their doctors to perform said surgery against their will. This isn't a straw man. This directly responds to your position. You're going down the same rabbit hole of nonsense. Soon you'll have to concede you were wrong. Let's skip all the silly games and just get to that point already.

Where have I ever said hospitals can force doctors to do anything

Direct quote me or you can do like you normally do and vanish when called out.

Is this where you're going to attempt to evoke an appeal to authority and copy and paste some new age gooblygunk pseudoscience?

Just because you see little Johnny play with the Barbie doll does not mean you need to attempt to transition Little Johnny into little Janet

Or it could be the gullible parents listening to this new age liberal "doctor".

Medical malpractice at its finest. Evidently the patient agrees

many heterosexuals upsets with their elective surgeries too

even seen men sue their parents for complications from a forced Circumcision before they were even old enough to have sex

but I agree, both of these surgeries can wait until they are adults, babies are too young, 13-year-olds are too young

I do support hormone blockers to allow them to choose when an adult

could be a good way to give your kids money, is that money a taxable transfer?

when you sue someone and win, is that money taxed?

No there is not. Approx 1.7% of people fall into a category called “intersex” or DSD (disorders of Sexual Development).

Exactly. This is 100% the fault of the parents. The parents allowed this to happen. The parents should be held responsible.

Do you support female genital mutilation? If not, why are you telling other parents how to raise their kids?

I am also not in favor of telling others how to raise their kids, however as a society there is a line. I’m sure you would have issue with parents abusing their kids, right? Allowing a 13 yr old to have her breasts removed is, in my opinion, a form of abuse.

I forgot the name. The group that was originally pushing for gay marriage had to switch after they won that battle. They took up transgenderism and appear to have been successful at spreading that. I hope she wins her suit.

Oh stop feigning indignation. That comment flowed naturally from what ECA was responding to. The point is crystal clear, parents cannot do anything they like to their kids, society does (and should) have a say in the matter. This view is not at odds with the general principle of allowing parents to make decisions on how their kids are raised.

    Disingenuous bullshit. Weak.

Amputating functional body parts is not a choice I want any parent making for any child.
Nor any doctor consenting to perform.
    Its malpractice and child abuse.

This conversation is about removing a child's sex organs.... And, some people think it's okay if the parents want it to be done. Are you saying there should be limitations on the removal of the sex organs of children?

Try reading the conversation you're responding to. Nobody is taking you out of context.

I don't, but I am in no position to tell parents how to rear their children, it is none of my business.

So you want to allow parents to pay a doctor to remove the clitoris of their small child? None of your business on how other parents choose to raise their kids? You disagree with it personally but are willing to allow it to happen? Is that what you're saying? Because that's how this reads. This is your out to "clarify" your position and potentially save some face.

Sure and you go around telling parents how to raise their kids.
