I dont know the details of this particular case but frequently parents are told their children need to transition or face the likely suicide of the child. Misguided but well meaning. Theyve been lied to by the medical profession. People who have medically transitioned have a suicide rate 13 times that of the population. Medical fraud that the government should outlaw.

As someone who’s gone through the procedure I can say with perfect certainty, everything works fine, feels good and never got any complaints from a functional or visual perspective

Standard practice today is that all other methods have been exhausted. It is deeply sad that she regrets the decision made by her parents but what she and people like you are trying to take from this is as equally sad.

The issue is that a very small percentage of individuals that undergo this treatment regret it later, what should others be deprived of medical treatment based on a small percentage regretting it later? I think all measures should be taken to make sure there is no regret and it is a last resort item but saying it should be outright banned against medical evidence that it works just doesn’t make sense.
