Can someone explain to me the difference between a trans person using a bathroom or locker room of their chosen gender versus, letting gay people use the bathroom / locker room of their birth assigned gender? I can see no difference between the two. Yet we really only take issue in our current politics with conservatives latest boogy man, the perverted, child grooming, sexual assualters... Trans people. So why the issue with only trans people? What the difference here? Is it because trans people are so easily spottable vrs non trans, so they make easy targets?
My personal opinion is that there is no higher % of "groomers" and / or sexual abusers among trans / gay people as there are straight. Probably less in all actuality. So honestly, that argument is pretty much a non starter for me. After that its simply a matter of "icky!" I think for most people.
Most women don’t want to see a man’s “junk” in the locker room. In the old days, when progressives were on the side of women, they were very supportive of that. Now they aren’t because they have embraced the LGBQX, which is becoming a longer and longer acronym, as an integral component of their support. As for separate restrooms and locker rooms, the growing of sexes that Democrats recognize, will require a giant building to accommodate them all after a while. It’s getting ridiculous. The ends list of “sexes” these people claim to exist is just one more way for progressives control people, especially “normal” people.
here in the hospitals and gyms we have private restrooms, any gender can use, never a long line, as people are not restricted to one or the other also time to get rid of group showers in our children's schools that so many on the right support
And please provide cops in every girl's restroom and public places such as interstate restroom areas. Sneaky bathroom gender scams are so common now it's frightening.
Most men don't want to see a man's "junk" in the locker room either. There are probably plenty of women whose "junk" most men and most women wouldn't want to see either for that matter. If seeing something unpleasant in the locker room is your concern, transgender people are the least of your problems.
I say you use the restroom that matches the junk God gave you. Face it, the biggest risk to anybody in any of this is the risk to women, the fairer and naturally weaker sex. There just aren't a whole lot of women raping men against their will. It's a tough thing to pull off- forcing someone bigger and stronger than you to submit to an attack like that. It's the whole reason behind Title IX in sports. With rare and special exceptions (concerts with huge lines to get into the ladies rooms come to mind), I don't think you'll ever find a woman trying to gain entry to a men's restroom. Nor have I ever heard of a woman seriously trying to compete in men's sports. The opposite (genetic men trying to get into women's restrooms, locker rooms, and sports) is all you ever hear about. And I can't think of a single objection that any man would have to a woman who really wanted to give being a guy a try. There's no real threat there.
Erm, thank you, I guess? I mean, that can only possibly have been meant as a compliment since you didn't identify anything actually wrong or that you disagree with in my post.
Well, I can tell you a story. At a college I went to, they had a three level building, and on each level there was a men's and women's restroom. But on the 3rd level, it seems they had changed the male restroom into a "gender neutral" restroom. The decision to choose the male restroom as the gender neutral space is revealing. Society feels much more comfortable with transgender women-to-men being inside a male space than they do with transgender men-to-women being inside a female space.
Then your argument might as well be to remove the rules on gendered bathrooms altogether. Make it okay for any regular man to go into the woman's bathroom if he wants.
Yes, that sums it up quite nicely. It becomes blatantly obvious when an adolescent boy, who insists he’s trans, attacks a girl in the women’s facility. That has happened, in one instance, twice by the same perpetrator. The progressives, with a minimal set of values, know this is wrong, unfair and sometimes dangerous, for women, but their ideology, group think and blind loyalty to their political party demands that they support perversity.
The radical T's have rejected anything that doesn't require society to recognize them by their chosen gender, including using separate bathrooms.
Okay, it’s simple. Women should their own locker rooms and restrooms. No men allowed. If you are a transgender female, you can go to the women’s once you have had the operation. This is especially true for teenagers. Some guy just can’t come along and say, “I’m trans,” and get ogle the girls and attack them. It’s already happened.
It's a simple fix. Stalls with locking doors and no gaps. I've been to plenty of facilities where there are unisex restrooms. Guess what doesn't happen there.....
I was addressing your specific point about women not wanting to see men's "junk" in the locker room though. I don't understand how pointing out the lots of people (male and female) don't particularly want to see men's or women's "junk" either can be simply dismissed as "progressive". It was just a statement of fact. I didn't express any definitive opinion on how the general issue of transgender people in single-sex areas should be dealt with (for the record, I don't think there is a definitive answer and it's likely to vary significantly for different people and places). I was just pointing out that people not wanting to see certain "junk" isn't a very strong argument. Very rarely, just as men actually dressing as women or people dressing as some kind of staff can be (and occasionally has been) used to access such areas for malicious reasons. It can also be the case that some people will ogle, molest of abuse others of the same sex/gender in changing rooms too so there should already be measures in place to mitigate that risk. It's one of the many valid factors to consider on the question, but I don't think it's sufficient to simple shutdown the entire debate and declare an unquestionable conclusion. Anyway, the kind of teenage boy who would want to sneak in to a women's locker room would probably be less inclined if they feared some of the people in there could actually be trans.
I have nothing in the world against gay people, but which public bathroom you go to should be dictated exclusively by what your sexual "plumbing" is and nothing else.
I’m going with other. I think it would be wrong to make gays carry a I am gay card, and I think it’s wrong to make someone who had a sex change to go in the opposite bathroom. I don’t think it’s possible to actually change ones sex but I will use that term just for this topic. I don’t think a man should be allowed into a woman’s bathroom because of the obvious reason of privacy for women and they have the tool to commit rape in what is supposed to be a private area. If they have their junk cut and tucked then I suppose they no longer have that ability but can be assaulted in a man’s bathroom so I wouldn’t want them in there as well. so what I would like is harsh harsh punishment for any penis that’s seen in a woman’s bathroom or locker room and likewise for the reverse. Mandatory jail time with no exemption and put on the sexual predator list. That’s what I would like to see.
The Google claims there are some 72 genders, which is interesting because that's the exact number of virgins a martyred muzzy gets (so they claim), But consider that if there are 72 genders then as a heterosexual male I have no idea which of the other 71 genders might be checking out my twig and berries in the bathroom. Therefore, I demand my own bathroom.
We need a minimum of three bathrooms, one with a male symbol for men, one with a female symbol for women, and one with a question mark symbol for the confused.
