It's certainly true that the right wing has worked to embrace Christianity. However, there has been a change over time, leaving the only religious group opposed to abortion being White Evangelical Protestants. It's not surprising to me that the advent of white nationalism in politics has helped the right wing embrace White Evangelical Protestant views on topics such as abortion.
What Gangreene is saying is that black women aren't intelligent enough to make the personal decision to have an abortion. A racist insult to black women who chose to terminate their pregnancy. Gangreene is one dumb ****. Right up there with Boebert who praises teen pregnancies. 'Marjorie Taylor Greene Fumes After Being Laughed at in Congress' snip "In her intervention during the hearing, Spitalnick testified that the U.S. is "grappling with a very real threat of right-wing extremism in this country." She said that, "every single statistic makes clear that the vast majority of extremist violence is perpetrated by those motivated by white supremacist and other right-wing ideologies." Greene addressed Spitalnick's intervention by claiming that people who support abortions are the real white supremacists, because "20 million Black babies" have been aborted in America "since Roe v Wade." As Greene was speaking, Spitalnick apparently laughed—which angered the Georgia congresswoman. "Is this funny to you?" Greene asked. "Is babies being murdered in the womb funny to you? Because you're smirking and laughing at me right now." Spitalnick replied: "What's not funny are the Black people and Hispanic people and Jewish people and Muslim people who have been murdered in synagogues, in church, in supermarkets, in mosques, by white supremacists." video at link https://www.newsweek.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-laughed-congress-1800791
FoxHastings said: ↑ Despite all your ducking and dodging this is a fact: FoxHastings said: ↑ LOL, you think YOU will change the definition of murder and think it will change depending on how a fetus was conceived ???!!! HILARIOUS THAT MEANS : YOU THINK that if a fetus due to rape lives and is born it can be killed and it won't be murder ?!!! YOU SAID REPEATEDLY YOU'D MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR RAPE SO YOU THINK that if a fetus due to rape lives and is born it can be killed and it won't be murder ?!!! afterall , you think a fetus due to consensual sex is a person with rights that can't be killed.......sorry you can't follow the logic...it is difficult since you haven't any... Uh, no, that would be you....claiming abortion is murder but not if the fetus is a product of rape....
Again, you quoted me: As you can see, "rape" is not mentioned there. And your entire reply (Post #4807) doesn't even mention "rape" indicating that initially you knew that I wasn't talking about rape.
Sure there is. When a doctor determines that the woman is at risk of dying. I would say as soon as it is determined that the fetus WILL die. Which I think is insane. Can you link to any examples? They are choosing to "refuse to give care." Are you including purely elective abortion as "care?"
So then if Legislators have to be professionals in a particular fields in order to pass laws related to those fields, what exactly can legislators do? Nothing?
All you have argued against here is abortion bans in the case of rape and incest. So does this mean that you are okay with abortion in all of the other cases other than to save the woman's life?
If abortion was banned, what happens between a patient and their doctor would still be a private matter.
OB/GYNs are not believing that. And, one reason is that it is not that cut and dried. That's not good enough. Fetuses can be seriously deprecated in many ways. For example, it can be known that they will live very short and painful lives - as in, hours to longer. Plus, this can add risk to the woman's physical and mental health. You can read this case, wherein a woman was denied an abortion when her fetus was DEAD. "Texas law allows for abortion if the mother “has a life-threatening physical condition aggravated, caused by, or arising from a pregnancy that places the female at risk of death or poses a serious risk of substantial impairment of a major bodily function.” "But Texas lawmakers haven’t spelled out exactly what that means, and a doctor found to be in violation of the law can face loss of their medical license and a possible life sentence in prison." https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/16/health/abortion-texas-sepsis/index.html There are many more like this. DO YOUR WORK. Don't blame me when you don't know the issue you are trying to discuss.
In the case of healthcare, they need to allow our system of medical science to make decisions. We're talking about people's lives here. And, there is great complexity that makes a very serious difference. Note that even with water quality, etc., we have experts because there is no chance that legislatures will know the issues.
I note that you have failed at even ATTEMPTING to stand by your position under my scrutiny. How telling.
Actually, that "system of medical science" pushes the castration and mutilation of children, so I'm gonna go with NO on that. I don't care about some freak QUACK in a labcoat. Can Congress not be informed by "experts?"
They're not believing what? I didn't make any statement. In these cases I am certainly open to abortion. Physical health? You mean, they could die? Mental health? Yeah, that's not a good enough reason to kill babies. Oh, so the scared doctor denied the abortion, not the State. Got it. I thought that you were saying that the law solely lead to this, not merely that it was a event in the chain of events. Did I "blame" you?
CLEARLY YOU CAN'T address: "" you think YOU will change the definition of murder and think it will change depending on how a fetus was conceived ???!!! HILARIOUS THAT MEANS : YOU THINK that if a fetus due to rape lives and is born it can be killed and it won't be murder ?!!! Now you're even MORE confused, replying with this when we were simply talking about the definition of healthcare.
