Again one of those things that if parents want their kid reading the bible, do it at home. Do I care about a bible being on the school shelves? No. Do I care about it being removed? No. The schools are their to educate us socially and subject wise. Parents still need to be accountable for other "educating" of their children which includes Religion, Queer study, etc...
Funny where you happened to stop. "Upon the facts agreed in this case, the American citizenship which Wong Kim Ark acquired by birth within the United States has not been lost or taken away by anything happening since his birth. . . ." Are you by chance a lawyer? You seem to put a great deal of effort into attempts at deception.
It doesn't have to be a vulgar word. Why do kids need access to books that talk about giving up their bodies to someone else. Books have been banned simply because the book has same sex parents without the vulgarity.
Which Satanism? There are two basic types. One actually worships Satan, and the others, just used the name to spin intolerant Christians up. Both are very inclusive.
@Wild Bill Kelsoe Whats wrong? Unable to respond after demanding examples? Or do you agree that it would be ok to read this allowed over the air to small children?
Not their style??!! You forget about the Christian bakers intentionally put out of business by these perverts years and years ago.
Conflation fallacy. There were multiple bakeries that faced similar lawsuits. The ones who had refused to outright sell to same sex couples lost their cases. Those who were willing to sell what was on the shelf, but wouldn't make a same sex specific cake won their cases.
You don't have to use vulgar language to be offensive. Do you not find it offensive that this filthy book discusses a fair market value for rape? Do you not find it offensive when parents are directed to kill their children when their god commands?
I'm trying hard to think of the 6-letter word you are coyly trying to hide....?? But so what...? As has been mentioned several times, the complaints of the book banners have been about SEXUALLY EXPLICIT material, not swear words...
Some of the books that were removed had all those words. They can't even be typed in a private forum...lol
Actually, folks have tried to ban To Kill a Mockingbird several times: https://www.thelist.com/1044787/the-real-reason-to-kill-a-mockingbird-became-a-banned-book/
Yeah it's a good read for understanding why we're so screwed up. I learn lessons like genocide is okay if god chooses your people, and blessed shall he be who smashes their enemies babies upon the rocks. Psalm 137:9 ESV - Blessed shall he be who takes… | Biblia
My dad said when he was a kid the Gideon came into his public school and handed out those little red pocket Bibles to anybody who wanted one and went into classrooms talking about their mission of hope and why they tried to put Bibles in all hotel rooms so people had something they could turn to during dark periods in their life . Nobody was forced to take one. They also had voluntary teacher led prayers. I think he said he was in 7th grade during the Iranian hostage crisis and they started off having a prayer in school every morning before taking roll but sometime along the way that had to switch to a moment of silence because someone objected. They also had voluntary coach-led prayers in the locker rooms before games. The world has changed a lot since then I suppose. Maybe that was when it started to change. IDK.
And many of them had none of them...but we can't scare mothers with the concept of a penguin with same-sex parents, can we...?
And they all broached topics that 8 year olds shouldn't be exposed to. Y'all shouldn't have come after the kids.
And hence the banning of the Bible. 8 year olds shouldn't be exposed to discussions of sexual intercourse (homosexual or straight), child murder, rape, physical abuse either...all found in that book of horrors...
If you want to expose the hypocrisy of the Left wing, then that's a win. Let's see where it gets you. The complaint about the Bible in school libraries has nothing to do with protecting kids. It's all about political payback.
False. Complaints about young children being exposed to the Bible have been around for years, in many settings. Nothing to do with political paybacks. However, it is very generous of the morons who frame these laws to do so in such a way as to make those oft-repeated efforts viable...
