I thought you wanted to talk about Russia and Ukraine. Now you want to talk about the USA. So are you conceding that Russia is wrong, or are you saying that the USA is right? We are not the same you know. Bank robbery isn't the same as making a legitimate withdrawal, even though they both leave with money.

Very short-sighted view. How much better was the Soviet Union compared to Afghanistan in military terms? How much better are we? Yet both great powers ended up leaving eventually. Ukraine will win if they have the material means to do so, because they have the will to fight. Russia will not win this as long as we back Ukraine. They know that, and that's why they're working overtime to convince Americans to stop supporting Ukraine.

I feel like I'm repeating myself here and you just won't listen, so I'm not going to respond any further.

Afghanistan isn't land locked to the Soviet Union and the Soviet Union didn't boldly declare through scam referendums of which force Putin into staying and keeping those territories until the last man.

But a crook who robs at gunpoint and the US government that just prints up new bills without the gold equivalent is the same thing.

LOL! So a Ukrainian tank mechanic was trying to fix a captured Russian T-72B3 tank (the most upgraded version of the old Soviet tank design) so he decided to call Russian tech support for the manufacturer. As the Ukrainian soldier spoke Russian the tech support worker was very nice and talked through trouble shooting the problem.

I wouldn't say there is a stalemate at all as Russia's economy is just getting worse and worse and Putin's piggy is running dry.

News about Russia from a Russian and the news isn't good.

I don't remember ever reading/hearing the name Edwin Wilson before yesterday:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_P._Wilson

"Edwin Paul Wilson (May 3, 1928 – September 10, 2012)[1] was a former CIA and Office of Naval Intelligence officer who was convicted in 1983 of illegally selling weapons to Libya. It was later found that the United States Department of Justice had relied on a false affidavit when prosecuting Wilson; as a result, Wilson's convictions were overturned in 2003 and he was freed the following year.[2]"

Nor did I. But as you can see he was effectively swept under the carpet, that is to say, he's been languishing in a cell for ...... how long is it? 20 years? I'm not sure if he is less upfront than "death squad" Col. James Steele, another name you should find out about.

    Exactly.

Very odd that you make such a statement without calling the goalpost. I've asked you several times to do that but you are unable. Is it possible that you still do not understand the importance of that factor? It is THE point of the whole war but you are more focused on your shoes.

Not your shoes. Forecasting where an eventual cease-fire and armistice will be positioned only makes sense if you understand the goals perceived. Why is that so very difficult for you to understand? Do you really find it so complicated?

Ok. That's a fair request. You indicated that you are willing to bet that the Ukraine-Russian line of scrimmage won't change much in the next 2 years. On what do you base your prediction?

I base that on where we are at this stage of the war. All of Ukraine and Russia's gains were made at the very start of the war. Both sides' have had the ability to dig in their defenses. Both sides are getting outside aid to perpetuate the war. Based on Russia's last offensive and now Ukraine's offensive, it's rather apparent that both sides have dug in and are not moving anywhere.

IMO, the strategy for all of the nations that support the war against Russian aggression in Ukraine should be to expel Russia from Ukraine ASAP.
Wars of attrition should be avoided whenever possible.

It would be far better if Ukrainians did not have to do that.

I agree. Either we go all in and remove Russia quickly and swiftly, or we get to the negotiating table. This ****ing half in half out nonsense is just dragging this **** out. If NORTH KOREA can offer manpower and arms...I'd say it's open game now. Europe should get involved and get them out.

But it seems that places like Poland are pulling back from support now.
