Regarding item 1, he must also show legitimate cause to obtain a CC permit in California. My mother was able to obtain one without too much trouble after being victimized by a man with a gun. He went to jail, and she took the training to get her permit.

 

It's called the reasonable man assumption. He has a right to ensure he and his family are safe and either making sure his assailants are either dead or have completely vacated the premises and he and his family are safe.

He probably was very upset. Anyone would be. But as I know from experience, once you lose your temper, all anyone else can see is someone who is possibly unstable. Police rarely take chances. They can always reinstate his CC permit after things calm down.

Unarmed people expressing outrage is not even remotely comparable to dealing with a raging man with a gun. Ask any cop who they'd rather deal with.

More likely, it was in response to his losing his cool. Understandable anger, maybe, but the police did not take his gun, just revoked his CC permit, meaning that the gun must now remain within his home. He'll likely get the CC permit back after the dust settles.

That explains why he was granted a CC permit. It's unfortunately well known that cannabis businesses are cash only. Hopefully, they'll decriminalization it nation wide, so that those businesses can operate the same as the local wine shop or shoe store.

It doesn't seem, from your article, that such was their motive, given that the neighborhood was made aware of burglars operating there prior to thin incident.

As I previously stated, the righties here are jumping the gun. It's most likely that he'll get his permit back, especially given the business he's in (of which I fully approve, btw ... )

It is reasonable to expect one to defend family and home, but it is very far from reasonable to assume that legal gun owners are all reasonable, rational people when under duress.

It also explains why he was so frustrated in slow or weak police response to known criminal activity in the area. BTW, Larchmont is between downtown Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Very expensive real estate.
