I do not agree with needing permits to concealed carry, I believe that is the polite way to carry, and one should not have to ask the gov permission to be polite

the gov knows you are more likely to be harassed if you open carry, by both police and citizens as it causes some fear

it's like a man's privates, if you're concealing in public, no one cares, out of sight, out of mind

 

It's likely a criminal investigation since shots were fired.

And if found to be in the correct side of the law, will have all his privileges returned.

Speaking for myself, I do have good anger control when threatened, but not so much when insulted. I have good reasons for that.

Most of us will never be tested in the manner in which this man was, and that's a good thing. It isn't fun or exciting.

 

Sure, you can scream at the cops, but I wouldn't advise it, especially not if you obviously have a gun. Too many angry, raging people have been known to cause a lot of harm, and if the police don't know you, they can't know your intent or capabilities when not thinking clearly.

And yet, it was in Los Angeles County, where I was born and raised, that my mother was issued a permit to carry concealed. This was about 20 years ago.

 

IOW, you should be able top carry a concealed handgun without a permit. Think it through.

 

I don't believe this guy was armed at the time and was upset the police were spoiling evidence of the ground that might be needed in a defense.

Most had no charges to bring. They were let in, and were peaceful.

It is not ... repeat, NOT ... a law. It is a consideration in a court of law, used to determine the amount of liability, not as an overarching defense. Judges use information about a defendant's character and the circumstances under which the offense took place in order to determine sentencing.

That's why I keep repeating here that this man was in a singularly intense emotional state, so police revoked his CC permit because they did not know his actual character, and will likely reinstate it once things have calmed down and he's been deemed to be a solid citizen.
