We aren't. They might, but it's highly unlikely.

The choice was pretty simple, pay attention to Pres. Putin and
declare your country 'permanently neutral' (as per Austria), or
    'autonomous' as Putin suggested,

or do what the neocons wanted and arm Ukraine to the teeth
    and find out what happened.

Ukraine got 700,000 US/NATO trained servicemen but
it could not succeed against 180,000 (more now) Russian
    servicemen.

    Next time ignore idiot biden.

Yeah because the Russians took Kiev in 3 days and now Ukraine doesn't exist!! Certainly, the world doesn't now perceive Russia's military as the 3rd strongest military power IN Russia. Certainly, Russia hasn't been pushed back by a 3rd rate power using NATO castoffs. Heavens no ;)

Vladimir Putin explained what his intentions were and why and you were, maybe on a different planet at the time?

Platform shoes Putinka explained his "position" numerous times now.....even cited "red lines" that have been crossed a dozen times.....this is too funny.

I had no doubt you would prefer the current system of funding overseas adventures via deficit spending.

    1. Our entire government is funded by deficit spending at this time.
    2. Funding for every conflict in our history has been via deficit spending.
    3. Citing spending as an excuse is merely a way to avoid admitting to a lack of commitment to freedom.

Countries would deficit spend to fight wars...their own wars. We're funding other wars with no national benefit.

As already observed, you see no benefit because you lack a commitment to freedom.

Sorry, but your commitment seems to be only to your own comfort.
Those of us who have actually served the US have a different perspective.
    And btw:
    Washington Post
Opinion | Ukraine aid's best-kept secret: Most of the money stays in the U.S.A.

Here is the best-kept secret about U.S. military aid to Ukraine: Most of the money is being spent here in the United States. That’s right: Funds that lawmakers approve to arm Ukraine are not going directly to Ukraine but being used stateside to build new weapons or to replace weapons sent to Kyiv from U.S. stockpiles. Of the $68 billion in military and related assistance Congress has approved since Russia invaded Ukraine, almost 90 percent is going to Americans, one analysis found. . . . .

My own comfort? This isn't about me personally, it's about policy choices for the United States. You continuously demonstrate that's an alien concept to you.

Nonsense. It's very much about your wish to preserve your comfortable existence by wishing danger away. Others have wished the same.
“How horrible, fantastic, incredible it is that we should be digging trenches and trying on gas-masks here because of a quarrel in a far away country between people of whom we know nothing. It seems still more impossible that a quarrel which has already been settled in principle should be the subject of war.”

The power of Ukraine's defense derives from the strength of the people's embrace of democracy and freedom. Russians don't understand.

The power of ukie's defense comes from the pockets of American taxpayers and the weapons provided to the nazis fighting Russia. Hello hello, they don't have elections in ukie land and they worship a ****ing WW2 Nazi. Get your plane ticket now Jack, be in Kyiv on January 1st for the tiki torch national holiday parade for their beloved nazi Stepan Bandera.

As Russia's position becomes more desperate your claims become more ludicrous.

My interactions with both Russia and Ukraine over the decades, and knowledge of both, are considerably broader and deeper than you understand. You should take your nonsense elsewhere.

Have you even visited Ukraine, or is your knowledge limited to internet memes and whatever Putin's propagandists tell you on YouTube?
