There is good and bad everywhere. My focus has always been on preserving the good while minimizing the bad. I bet you're in that mindset too.

Someday I hope folks like you and folks like me can agree on how to get to that place, We apparently have a long way to go.

For sure. The obvious solution is to go back to mental hospitals for sociopaths like we had decades ago. The left wants to protect the nutjobs instead of the public.

That is an erroneous assumption. Don't think AYNONE wants that . But everyone has to admit , there is a big mass shootings problem in this country. And NO ONE can agree on how to deal wit it..........IF it can even be dealt with . People like their weapons, the NRA likes the money it gets, politicians go around incircles , but don't address the issues. So shootings are the norm......and people have gotten used to them ( although they are glad that they were not the victim) Thoughts and prayers don't being back the lives cut short before realizing their potential.

 

Maybe we could start by putting criminals where they belong instead of out on bail.

Why should anyone , except the police shoot back?? These are students / civilians , for goodness sake. And there is NOTHING wrong with a gun free zone. It takes an idiot / mental case with a gun to take advantage of such a situation. Not everyone should have weapons....but given the number of weapons around, anyone can get one with hardly any effort.

 

and in many cases it's crocodile tears by people who only pretend to care about the victims enough to use their deaths to advance their agenda. Our leaky borders and the fentanyl that floods this country, kills more people in a month than mass shootings do in several years.
