Two Democrats aides in a row taped themselves having gay sex in the United States Capitol. If you want to start arresting and imprisoning degenerates, I am here for you.

Ahhh, the left's misogyny on FULL DISPLAY.
    Love it!
Look at how these people talk about women just because of different political views.

Yep, and they were kicked out, and every liberal I heard said it was the right thing to do to kick them out.

Also, they didn't claim family values as their platform. On the other hand, Boebert did, and then she divorced and was caught doing lewd things in public. Family values my a$$. But, what does the "family values" crowd do? They circle the wagon and rally behind her. Typical.....

Well in a year they will no longer be her constituents. I have no idea how popular or unpopular she is in the other district.

Her hypocrisy, and hopefully we can push out the ones that are there for themselves, like Boebert and have one that understands better.

yeah, she was the first to ever do this; right? Good God, is your head that far up the Democrat-party-behind that you can't realize that politicians are opportunists. Most would never make it in the Dreaded Private Sector

    see below

you and your fellow Democrat voters probably cheered Specter.

    From the NY Times

WASHINGTON — In an unexpected turnabout in political loyalties, Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania announced on Tuesday that he was leaving the Republican Party to become a Democrat, bolstering President Obama at a pivotal moment for his policy agenda and further marginalizing Republicans on Capitol Hill.

Mr. Specter acknowledged that the surprise decision was driven by his intense desire to win a sixth term next year. It came after he and his political advisers concluded over the weekend that he could not win a Republican primary against a conservative challenger,

    Sadly, that isn't the case...
And, once she switches to the 4th District and wins, she (barring an unexpected and cataclysmic redistricting after 2030) will be entrenched for life...

nice swerve. Then come out and say it. Was Specter a hypocrite? how about Charlie Crist? Where were the negative posts from you about Crist?

No need to answer. Democrat-voters gonna do what Democrat-voters do.

'Lauren Boebert May Have Broken the Law With Theater Fondling'

    9/18/23 AT 9:53 AM EDT

"Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert will not be charged for public indecency or otherwise, after video footage captured her seemingly being intimate during a public theater performance in Denver on September 10.

Surveillance cameras showed Boebert, the second-term Republican lawmaker representing the state's 3rd District, being escorted out of the Buell Theatre during a live performance of Beetlejuice. Nearly four minutes of footage, captured on CCTV cameras and later shared by Denver Arts & Venues, which runs the Buell Theatre, show Boebert vaping and using her cellphone, in addition to seemingly groping her date, Quinn Gallagher, and being groped by him.

The legislator initially rebuked claims that she vaped or caused a disturbance, joking that she was forced to leave for "laughing and singing too loud." After the footage went viral, she apologized and relayed in a statement that she "fell short of my values" and "genuinely did not recall vaping that evening," adding: "That's unacceptable, and I'm sorry."

    Whataboutism, much?
Were there even any threads at PF about Charlie Crist when he switched parties in 2012?
And, reaching back 11 years (when the political climate of the country was totally different) in an epically-failed attempt to "make a point" is beyond misguided. :bored:
And, the example about Specter goes back to 2009, and (historically) several politicians have changed parties from both sides.
All the way back to entrenched "Dixiecrat" Racist Strom Thurmond in 1964 (from D to R) because he felt more at home in the GOP with his Segregationist mindset, to Richard Shelby of Alabama who switched from D to R in 1994.
Of course politicians are "opportunists", and "1+1=2", etc...
*Now back to the actual topic of Boebert's move to the 4th District (which is an Intra-Party District Switch, and has absolutely nothing to do with epically-failed attempts at whataboutism based on Politicians Switching Parties from previous decades):
It was a very savvy political move (obviously, made on the recommendation of advisors) and one would think that she would be very hard to defeat in that sort of Safe (R) District.
Once again, totally lmao at the epically-failed whataboutism...:bored:

So vaping in a theater gives someone HO status? Here in the real world we just call that "being rude". and she was a bit cuddly with her partner? so what? Is that offensive because they are different genders? That makes someone a HO? I think you folks need to learn about the dangers of MISOGYNY

Speaking of "behavior", one could say that calling a woman a HO for such trivial things could be a "behavior" characteristic of MISOGYNY

FYI, I stated to remove all those that are there for themselves. Seems you only see Democrats as being a problem, and then every now and then try to make it about non partisan, yet other posts, like the one I am replying to, is rife with partisan BS.

I can’t believe that. I have to believe she would get primary’ed, even in the fourth district, if she faced another conservative with an once of integrity.

Only state reps have to live in the district they run in, not federal reps.
Can she live on the other side of the state from where she would hold office is my question?
It's been 2 months since Ken Buck announced he's not running again so Hoebert is a bit late to the primary game.
This is good news, it's not like she has no competition but appears to be the ONLY shot she has of staying in the govt.

To run for office, you have to meet certain criteria. If you're a candidate for the United States House of Representatives, you have to be at least 25 years old and have been a U.S. citizen for at least seven years. But there's no requirement that you live in the congressional district you are vying to represent. It's Spelled Out In The Constitution
    There is just one requirement.
The U.S. Constitution just requires that the person be a resident of the state
There have been efforts to add requirements over the years, but the courts have been resistant to "state efforts to attach additional qualifications.
