Trump's trial in E. Jean Carroll defamation case begins

Mate, you can just about guarantee that if I ask a question, I already know the answer. What I try to do is to use questions which will enable/assist the person I am addressing to see the folly of their position for themself.

If there was relevant evidence, it would have been allowed, and if evidence which should have been allowed was excluded from a Jury, then Humpty can appeal that. I have not seen any appeal made by him on that basis. Have you?

Witness testimony IS evidence.

Importantly - and something you seem to ignore - is the fact that there was NO evidence that the assault didn’t happen.

The only evidence in front of the jury was Carroll’s testimony, and that of her corroborating witnesses that she told on the day, that the assault did occur. Trump never denied it.

He didn’t deny it. Think about that.

Perhaps he preferred a civil case from the crazy lady over another bogus criminal prosecution from Allen Bragg for hush money.

 

She didn't prove it either. A claim unchallenged is not 'proven', it just isn't challenged. You can then judge it on its own veracity. Her claims and the physical inconsistencies with said claims, give pause to doubt that's higher than reasonable. If this case was in, say Arizona or Kansas, instead of New York she would've lost it.

Luckily for her, she filed suit in NY.

That's not evidence, the only reason the court accepted it as evidence, is because this is a civil(not a criminal trial) but even with that, this is dubious to be accepted. She said X, she told other people of X and that's supposed to be evidence?

We know Trump has had his DNA taken now, it should be quite possible to connect that DNA to the semen on her dress(I still can't believe she kept that dress, absurd)

Unless given the aging of the semen(seriously, 28 years), I doubt very much it's an article you can test.

"Sperm can also be preserved for decades when semen is frozen." So, did she freeze the dress until the moment? Did she cut the pieces of cloth containing semen so she could stuff it in a freezer?

I wish Trump did participate in this trial, litigant's claims are flimsier than flim itself. Trump need not provide any proof in this trial, a good 'mad dog attack' defender would've had the good ole 'sexist' articles printed in 24 hours LMAO.

CNN reporting it sounds like Mango will be taking the stand today..... Judge is going over the "rules" (Ha Ha - Trump and rules) and Habba has said she only has 3 questions for him, so she's obvioiusly trying to keep his time up there as limited as possible. I wonder if she is familiar with the concept of cross examination??

But Trump's attitude will sink him.

Last night, he posted 37 personal attacks against his victim and it goes on and on.

I wouldn't be surprised if the jury fined him $100-150 million.

 

This afternoon was the first time I heard a TV person mention the possibility of a 9 digit punitive finding. They said that would be tough if the damages was only @ 10-12 million, as courts don't like the punitive to be that much more.

But it might be a number that gets his limited attention... I wonder how long this jury will take to decide? Rudy's jury took @ 10 hours for his verdict.

But that jury was allowed to start on a Thursday. This one will start on a Friday, which might speed things up a bit.

Bad day coming for Captain Creep eventually...
