Illegals who attack police in Times Square get to walk.

A couple of days ago, a gang of illegal immigrants kicked and beat up two New York City policeman when they tried to break up a fight on Times Square. Four of them were arrested. Woke New York City DA, Alvin Bragg, turned them loose with no bail immediately.

As they were walking out after they were released, three of them gave “the double finger” to the press. Even progressive New York State Governor, Kathy Holchul, stated that deportation should be on the table for these thugs. Word has it they jumped on a bus and are headed for California.

I know what conservatives think of this, but what do the liberals here have to say? When is enough enough? Does every punk in the world have the right to come here and engage in criminal activity?

Two failures here, IMO, since the existing law does not preclude bail and incarceration for this. Failure by the prosecutor (ask) as well as the judge (enforce) to apply the requirements of the existing law.

Now the immigrants have fled NY... To go to another sanctuary state.. This time, they can get more "Get out of jail free" cards AND free healthcare.

If we take a small step back, and look at the way criminal offenses are being treated in NY, and NYC in particular, you see a trend shaping up. Crime is to be protected, criminals are off limits, and when regular citizens step in to keep others safe, the government goes full in after those folks. Protect yourself against crime? You become the criminal, and the Prosecutors at the DA are all in to abuse you legally. Commit an attack against government as an illegal? catch and release. It's insane.

 

Not only the government... many of the citizenry have also drank the kool aid.

You need to find news sources in addition to CNN and MSNBC.

 

It seems many on the left now feel it's their duty to be victimized. It's disgusting to watch.

 

A great example of why we, as a country, need to have both conservatives and liberals to balance each other out at the extreme ends. And also why it's important to have the bulk of the electorate near the middle!
This is ridiculous. If they will do this, and then act like that afterward, I wouldn't put much past them and I wish they would deport them AFTER a lengthy stay in prison (at least 6 months). Assault on police officers should not be tolerated. And yes, I thought the same about the 'George Floyd' riots and Jan 6th riots.

 

We, as a society, have veered ultra left and ultra right.. We absolutely need a swing back to the middle. A moderate society, is a good, and successful society.
