From what I understand, when city declares its self to be a sanctuary city, ICE can’t be called to hull the lowlifes to jail and deport them.

 

Albuquerque actually had a pretty good system where the city gave ICE offices with the police downtown for free. Then everyone brought in for a crime went to see ICE as their first stop after getting booked. Wasn't racist as everyone was treated the same. Then they voted in our current mayor who promply kicked ICE to the curb. Our crime rate was bad but that kicked it into high gear.

 

Now what should happen to them? We know if they made it to CA the answer would be nothing.

The biggest indicator that they are getting away with it in New York is the fact that criminal gangs in Florida travel to New York to commit their crimes but spend their money in Florida. The reason they commit their crimes in New York is that they don't go to jail there but would go to jail if they committed the crimes in Florida. I can't believe CNN let some truth slip out.

As more and more progressives lose their position or actually begin enforcing the law, it should be expected that the crime rate would fall. Also, the MSM has dialed down the pro criminal propaganda and now allows some anti-crime rhetoric.

 

There's only $20B in the bill for the border. Joe ALREADY has the authority to close the border, whenever he wants, and for as long as he wants. If his bill passes, he will only be able to close it when demand exceeds 5000, AND will only be able to do THAT 45 times per year!

This bill doesn't give the executive extra powers to manage the border, it hamstrings the executive.

 

The Bill is yet another con, pushed by grifters.

 

Its a well crafted, but predictable con. You get questions from the less-engaged like: "Why are republicans preventing illegal immigration control?" They don't understand the con.

My understanding is, this bill does not enact any comprehensive solutions for the border crisis. On the contrary, it is carefully crafted to prevent future administrations from being able to control illegal immigration, and to keep the flow coming. Not to mention, of the $118B in this bill, only $20B is earmarked for the border; the rest is unrelated to immigration all together. And the $20B isn't even available to be accessed for several years.

 

The bill doesn't prevent illegal entry, it provides funding to facilitate the illegal entrants, more quickly. It's the kind of nonsense the old GOP sold the base out with, repeatedly.
