And most importantly control the Ukraine bread basket to Africa, etc.

And lets say we continue to pay for Ukraine's war efforts and they end up still losing (the most likely result).... Now we have the same end result, we paid a shitload of money into a problem that isn't ours, and now we have even worse relations with the winning side.

Why should we protect people who don't pay their fair share?

The Russian military will be severely depleted in conventional arms, etc. and be unable to preform another unprovoked invasion like they have done in Ukraine.

But we won't be fighting the Russians military in a conventional arms war and them being allied with China insures their ability to rebuild when needed. We can't continue to burn money in other countries war efforts and think that the action goes consequence free.

We are defacto right now. And, we still have the capability to walk and chew gum with China. No ones burning money, most of it is going directly into the MIC in US states.

When I read comments like this, I think there's so much education to be done with MAGA on how geostrategic issues work.

How explain that the rich countries of NATO are protecting certain poorer countries, not in their own interests, but in our own?

The lessons of WW2 and the Cold War have not been assimilated.

Didn't you have history lessons in high school?

So? Now, since he brought it up again, it's a new conversation.

He said it the way he means it.

You should inform yourself before belittling others.

"I said: 'You didn't pay? You're delinquent?' He said: 'Yes, let's say that happened.' No I would not protect you. In fact I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay."

That has been the way it has worked since the end of WWII.

The military industrial complex has bipartisan support.

You asked earlier why I didn’t support him — this is the main issue I have with him. He isn’t capable of thinking before he speaks and no matter what he says his supporters embrace it.

The US is not the only country impacted by disruption in trade commerce.. However, it seems that the world relies on the US to fund the the majority of the load to "protect" commerce. Let me ask you... what is the the number one export the US exports to the world?? Just a hint... War is very profitable to the US..

Russia has no alliance with China.

They are geopolitical rivals, always have been, always will be.

China is reaping benefits from the Ukraine war as their industries and products are filling the void created by sanctions.

He didn't Break any deals, didn't kick out member, just reminded them wtf NATO is about. You're in it because you can't stand alone. He is not an isolationist and he hasn't betrayed our country, he in fact loves it. Bucket of cold water never drowned anyone.

As for NATO, Great Britain was to deploy a carrier to the Red Sea to replace one of ours, they have two but neither could deploy.

The title of thread , per usual from leftist media sources, is not an accurate account of what was said.

Lets talk negotiations and how weak the left has become.

The left has paid North Korea billions to not launch missiles for decades.

Trump put a carrier fleet on the coast of NK, flew mission with bombers down its coast, and told Kim if you launch we will light up your country.
Kim never launched another missile, we never paid him anything, and the weak left said Trump loves Kim because they were much too weak to force Kim into compliance.

Trump took control of the border, built more wall, and deported illegals by the thousands.
    What does the left do?
Reverses all his policies and now has over 7 million illegals roaming the US which is 4 times the amount of Trumps administration.

Obama's failure to attack and control the rise of ISIS which was inevitable when he left that vacuum in Iraq, refusing to leave a residual force, then recalling bombing missions to attack ISIS allowed them to grow. A residual force in Iraq would have maintained American influence in Iraq that could have played a key role in checking Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's worst sectarian tendencies and in supporting Iraqi security forces - both key contributors to the rise of ISIS in Iraq. And Obamas neglect of the US military saw 8 years of decline.

Trump destroyed ISIS, rebuilt the United States military after eight years of decline and neglect under the previous Administration. He revitalized our defense industrial base, secured the largest pay raise for our troops in a decade. He also became the first American leader since Ronald Reagan not to start a war.

On Trump’s watch, the world’s most notorious terrorists were brought to justice; the ISIS territorial caliphate was completely destroyed; and violent, corrupt regimes were held accountable through a mix of sanctions and targeted military action.

Freed nearly 8 million civilians from ISIS control, and liberated Mosul, Raqqa, and the final ISIS foothold of Baghuz

    • Killed the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and eliminated the world’s top terrorist, Qasem Soleimani
    • Created the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center (TFTC) in partnership between the United States and its Gulf partners to combat extremist ideology and threats, and target terrorist financial networks, including over 60 terrorist individuals and entities spanning the globe
    • Twice took decisive military action against the Assad regime in Syria for the barbaric use of chemical weapons against innocent civilians, including a successful 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles strike
    • Authorized sanctions against bad actors tied to Syria’s chemical weapons program
    • Negotiated an extended ceasefire with Turkey in northeast Syria

And what does the left do. Whines about Trump loving Dictators.

So you are going to get a deaf ear when whining about Trump using tough talk to get NATO members to pay their fair share. We have all seen how weak the left is on negotiations, the infestation of ISIS under their control, their billions paid to North Korea, shipping plane loads of cash to terrorist, botching the Afghan withdrawal deserting thousands of Americans to terrorist, and attacking American cities costing billions in losses.

I will take Trumps tough talk over leftist weakness any day of the week.

While all you have are your pictures you provide your own comments on,
I have the actual historical events.
Which is why you couldn't actually dispute what I posted and had to resort to some picture you could take out of context.
    Hilarious though

How do you feel the context changes it? Aside from exchanging love letters and making an ass of himself and an embarrassment of the country, what did he accomplish vis-a-vis North Korea? Answer is nothing good. He got played and he gave Little Rocket Man what he wanted.

The problem with Trump is he is just not a great communicator (matters NONE to me as at the end of the day POLICY is what matters), but he does suck at speaking, sorry to say fellow Trumpers!
He could have worded it like "if they aren't paying their dues, they shouldn't be surprised if they are not as well protected" Even that isn't great, but I'm not a presidential candidate and i thought of that in 2 seconds.
He also ripped on Haley's military husband (stupid thing to do).
Even though he's doing great in the polls right now he also is doing great at putting his foot in his mouth. He needs better advisors! The only thing keeping him on his feet IMO is that Joe botched up things SO BAD that it makes Trump look good, but say enough stupid stuff and that will go away real fast!
