Biden has given Putin every reason to endorse him, from the weakness that encouraged him to invade Ukraine in 2022 to his abject mental incompetence to his shutting down new LNG export terminals. He's the gift that keeps on giving Russia everything it wants.

The New York 3rd District special election to replace George Santos (R) was dominated by advertising on two issues: immigration ads attacking Suozzi (D) and abortion ads attacking Pilip (R). I would expect the fall campaigns in purple districts to be similar, with huge spending on attack ads on a relatively few issues chosen because of the opposition's perceived vulnerability. Control of the House and Senate is more important than the Presidential election. The only positive campaigning will be a brief burst before election day funded by the candidate's campaign, rather than a PAC.

It wasn't Putin who said Trump colluded with Russia.

It wasn't Putin who went to Obama and informed him of Cliton's plan to tie Trump to Russia.

It wasn't Putin who said our border is secure as millions of illegals marched across it which we could see with our own eyes.

It wasn't Putin who launched operation Crossfire Hurricane.

In all of the above, it was our own government who lied to us and worked against an American candidate.

 

It's hard to imagine Trump or his RWM lapdogs lying any more than they already do. Though it needs to be recognized that he is desperate to win the election in order to avoid facing prosecution for his various crimes. So, we should all be ready for anything he and his campaign might do. That is to say, more than the despicable, traitorous, illegal acts of soliciting Russia and Ukraine's help to get elected. More than making false accusations about election integrity. More than trying to hijack the RNC to pay for his legal defenses. Everything is on the table. I'm sure he'll think of something previously thought to be unimaginable as he has in the past.

What I'm seeing is an informant, who worked for the FBI for TEN YEARS, went public with some dirt on Biden and THEN got indicted for lying to the FBI.

Indeed. It is bad enough that things have gotten so dirty/ ugly IN the US.....but the active intrusion and influence of Russia et all has made things worse.
Factual information is gold. But it is ignored in favor of nonsense from Social media and outlets like Fox which is now extremist and fanatical. The tragedy is that the Right have illingly allowed the influence of Putin.

When somebody says something to SAVE themselves from prison, they might be lying. But when they say something that would INCRIMINATE them, they are usually telling the truth.

In this case, dirt about Biden is what Smirnoff was hired by Putin to feed Jordan and other Republicans. So if he says they are true, despite the fact that we now know they were made up, he's lying to save himself. BUT, if he says it was fed by Russia... that goes BEYOND lying to the FBI (a relatively lesser charge). It makes him a SPY. So it would be idiotic to think that he's lying.

Informants as a rule have credibility issues. The FBI continuously weighs the weight ,, value of what they are getting against that credibility issues. This informant might have been useful in other ways.....and then things went sideways. The real issue is the motive of the R's to impeach Biden. It is proving to be nothing more than an ongoing vendetta. You can also bet that Trumps aft little fingers are involved . The R's don't do anything without their dear leaders' permission or encouragement. And he is not even in power. That is how low things have sunk. Of course Putin (being considerably smarter ) sees the dynamics happening and is happy to insert information or himself to further create chaos .. knowing that a democracy is vulnerable to division & interference.

Most false info and Russian propaganda for sure, but 2016 was dirtiest because we had to watch Trump take turns in publicly insulting every GOP candidate, and there were many of them. And we saw Ted Cruz eat his own booger. Oh, and Trump also insulted the debate hosts, like Meagan Kelly about her periods, and a other people who were not even there, like Cruz wife. This time there are less people to insult, so he will pour it on only the select few.
