Get ready for the dirtiest campaign in our history

The last two campaigns were pretty dishonest by the right. Collusion with Russia allowed the Trump campaign to use Putin-Rubles that they didn't have to declare. And they were very much put to use with fake news, especially all over the Social Media and the right wingnut media echo-chamber (Fox, Breitbart, InfoWars, etc)

Some are used as propaganda. Others, like this...



are simply used to illustrate what CAN be done with the newer technology.

Not just pictures. Audio and video can also now be created with AI. An you can be sure this will be use.

Who will be the target?

I'm not saying the left will be immune to this. But anybody on the left attempting this will unlikely be as good as the Russians and Chinese who prefer Trump be elected. The people who will be most likely to believe these things will be a distinct group. The same audience that believed in "miracle cures" for Covid just because their favorite politician said they worked. Those who believed "The Big Lie" (that the 2020 elections were "stolen"), or that Obama was born in Kenya, will surely be a preferred target. Not to mention those who tend to believe anti-science (anti Climate Change, anti-masker or anti-vaxer) propaganda.

I'll just leave this with one piece of advice. WAIT! Don't post that picture, video or audio that you just got on Facebook or Twitter right away. Most likely you'll end up having to explain why you reposted fake news, or simply DENYING reality, when fact-checkers demonstrate that it's false.

 

It is already the dirtiest campaign with Trump constantly under attack. The absurd decision in New York is the latest proof. You could argue with some of the other indictments, but the decision in New York is simply wrong. It defies all logic. It is the latest in the democrat's dirty tricks.

 

This will be, hands down, the campaign with the most false information, trolling, dark money, and con schemes in the history of elections anywhere, including the 3rd world. It will be a race to the bottom by both sides.

And this is only one part of the Orange Stain's legacy.

 

Pffff, it's been the dirtiest three years in my political time, so what's another nine months..

 

I'm not talking about being under attack. That's normal. Especially a proven criminal like Trump. I'm talking about FAKE news, videos, photos, audios.... The things that fellow dictators like Putin and Xi will be contributing to the Trump campaign and for which they expect to be paid back handsomely if Trump were to be elected.

Trump is a Russian TOOL. Not a "spy". Completely different things. The first one isn't even a crime because it requires that the person be so stupid that they don't realize that they are being used. A perfect fit for Trump.

 

It is already a dirty campaign by the democrats. The trial in New York was a travesty.

The dirtiest was 2020. Can it get dirtier? Probably but I think we are used to it now after the left actually stole an election and managed to jail the people that were pissed off about it instead of taking responsibility for their own election fraud crimes

BTW, Putin took that line right out of speculations in 2016 that dictators might not want Trump because, analysts speculated back then, they might prefer "somebody more predictable... like Hilary". Boy, were those pundits proven wrong! But at least they have the excuse that that was eight years ago.

Of course! AFTER I showed the original. Stop looking for excuses. Your first instinct was to "like" it. That will be the first instinct of many people on the MAGA side when they see what Putin will be putting out this campaign season. And that's what THIS thread is about.

 

I could give the names of posters on this forum who post photoshopped images, fake quotes, or cherry-picked statistics on the economy for the sake of propaganda, but then I'd get in trouble with the moderators. But, that's really the tragedy here. People complain when politicians lie to them. Yet, they are all too happy to do the bidding for their own favorite politician by lying FOR them. They are only too happy to spread the fake news, propaganda, and, yes, the photshopped images. As long as it confirms their biases, everything is okay. The problem is: How can we hold our politicians to a higher standard, when the voters can't hold themselves to a higher standard? The result of all of this: Nothing in the news is beliavable anymore, and everyone believes whatever they want, no matter what the facts show. The lie of the stolen election is a case in point. Facts don't matter, as long as people believe in the lie.

 

Perhaps you represent the perfect audience, as described in the OP, for the fake crap coming via Russia and China.

Trump lost in 2020. Period. Not because of cheating on anyone's part, but because millions of Americans who are usually indifferent to the process made it a point to register and vote in order to get the grifter out of the Oval Office.
