Nah, I'm just addressing the idea that VPN is some sort of protection when it really isn't. Isn't that what you are illuding to in the above quote
The laws I just cited say you have no idea what the **** you are talking about. But we've already established that you are unwilling to actually read any law that you are pretending to "discuss."
So your saying sex toys are illegal, I never said any such thing. My assertion has been they were not, and had age restrictions.
I live in Texas and I don't really like this at first time thinking yes this needs to happen because pornhub and search engines tend to make it really easy to find. Put the libertarian in me over overpowers the Republican in me. I really don't like the government making moves on the internet. I think it sets a bad president and I think that's the whole point. They do absolutely nothing to help. Before the internet if you wanted to look at pornography you would go either to a pornography store or they would ask for your ID are you going to go to the store that's all to pornography as well as other things. And if they sold it to someone who was underage they got fined. Texas could find Google or Bing for showing us the kids. So much so that you have to specifically use certain types of keywords to get it. If those kids find out those keywords these companies should still be fined. That's the way this should operate I don't like the idea of banning websites. I was wrong when I cheered on the banning of tiktok. We have to decide what kind of people we want to be people that need government to be our mommy or people whose mothers and fathers do the parenting.
Yet another reminder of two fundamental truths: 1) Virtually everyone who bleats about 'free speech' really means 'speech I agree with'; and 2) Conservatives have always LOVED 'big government', as long as they get to control how it acts. To believe otherwise requires such deliberate ignoring of fact that it pretty much deals that person out of any serious discussion - ideology = idiocy.
Is anybody? Give these seedy websites your personal info. Would Democrat men like that or women of any political persuasion? Why is this a gotcha thing?
1)I can support free speech while at the same time think it's wrong for pornography website to expose children to their product. 2)Neocons sure they are just woke leftists of a different verity. Just heard Matt Walsh criticize people for disliking wokeness in video games. This encouraged me to point out these types of conservatives lose the culture and they are doomed to lose it because they really didn't like it. They don't want to preserve it they just want to be nostalgic for a time that is only ever seen through Rose colored glasses. I'm effect such people are exactly the same as the woke left. I think this approach to pornography is wrong and rather outdated. It's like they have no clue how the Internet works. This is less than a half measure so I doubt it is about decency or protecting children from seeing some of the vile crap out there. It seems more like a power grab. Same with the tiktok ban. I think it plays on the fact that people didn't like pornhub. Understandable they have hosted content with under age people and films of sexual abuse and assault. Going after such a company makes people less likely to object. Let's not forget you can view pornography on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, and likely others that I'm too old to know about.
Maybe the State of Texas would be better off without Porn hub, Texas people especially children should stay away from all that pornography for their own good. Besides why should those under 21 should have access to that smut anyway. I don't really know what folks there like and what they don't like. I really don't know what Pornography could do to the youth of AMerica anyway.
Jesus Christ on a ****ing pogostick, is it literally painful for you to read? I'll use small words. I never said sex toys are illegal. Stop making **** up. What I said THEY HAVE AGE RESTRICTIONS. YOU HAD CLAIMED THE OPPOSITE. Why are you suddenly completely reversing your position and then pretending that was your position all along? When this first started, you said, "A toy? ADULT toy? Their not considered pornographic and NOT subject to or limited to age restrictions." Now you say, "My assertion has been they were not, and had age restrictions."
Yup, at that point toy was not defined either, thats why I asked the question.. So, are you saying a plain jane vibrator is illegal for children under the age 18/21 to purchase.. Or just the ones that look like penis, are the bumpy variable ones ok or are they illegal to.. Lots of variables, that's why I ask questions.. If the device does not resemble anatomy of either sex that is still considered a sex toy is it restricted by age
No .. you can no longer surf Pornhub in Texas regardless of one's age because the Religious right Prude-Fest wants to protect you from yourself.
The hypocrisy clowns are only against freedoms they disagree with.. your assumption of logical integrity and consistency in law is way way unfounded ..
To apply pressure from another direction, file the complaint with the state AG consumer affairs. Comcast is terrible with customer service.
someone made a claim that you can't buy anything across state lines without proof of ID and that's simply not true. maybe they misspoke or i misunderstood.
i didn't say anything about impacting the rights of adults. Just another bad and unpopular Republican policy that may bite them.
As much as I hate this….. Pornhub is restricting access to persons in Texas. Texas isn’t blocking anything. Texas does require(now) age verification for this type of entertainment. Pornhub doesn’t want to institute that so Pornhub watches your IP and if it’s within parameters, you get a specific screen on pornhub, but not their porn. When Utah did the same thing, I ended up blocked from pornhub because even though I live in Colorado, my IP address was routing through Utah. Pornhub fixed that issue within a week or so. TLDR: Pornhub is doing the actual blocking. Texas wants age verification for porn, so pornhub says we just won’t let Texans enjoy our stuff instead of instituting age verification features. To be clear, I think this is BS, but it’s not exactly as being portrayed.
A toy isn't pornography. I haven't read the bill just yet, but wanted to play devil's advocate. Imagine setting up a sign that says "Free Pornography" in Times Square. Then while wearing a blindfold, can you hand out pornography to every person who walks up to you? Or can the state regulate that behavior?
Comcast is horrible with their over-the-phone support. And to think I once worked for them in Tech Field Ops - and I must say, their field operation is very advanced and reliable. I did what customers did to me for years, I contacted my city manager and the next day I was able to send emails through Comcast's network.
