If America is destroying dictatorships who are not in debt while themselves being trillions in debt then I believe dictatorships (systems with leadership) are an answer to this world wide economic world. I think a class of special people (millionaires who never invented anything) are afraid when people in countries such as Iraq or Libya get free medical, free education and so on while people in the so called democratic nations get in debt.

By dictator I don't mean like Saddam Hussein, if you're reading still, I just mean a leader with power and a good heart who does not have to argue with congress and senate all of whom have been pre selected by special interests.

No, that is absolutely not the answer.

No. There is not one human being who has ever lived that I would trust with that kind of power. Who do you have in mind? You? How can one person know what's right for a country with millions of people?

yes, you are right. A benevolent dictatorship is the second best form of government. The best would be socialism run by robots.

I'd like to think we've all taken dictatorships off the table.

Beside the fact that your desire would be disastrous, your reasoning is absolutely horrid.

The left believes that if a "compassionate liberal dictator" came into power, all the problems that plague our democratic society would go away, and we would all be holding hands with our neighbors singing "Imagine".

Liberals, despite their name, do not believe in real liberty and freedom. They want the Government to have total control over our lives.

To expand more, benevolent dictatorship is the most efficient form of government. A dictator is the same as a king or emperor. I hate why most people associate a dictator with something that is bad. A lot of dictators have been bad in the past, but so has every other form of government. If you have a good leader, it is the best form of government. That leader doesn't have to waste time bickering with other people. He makes whatever decisions he needs to and gets them done. A dictator doesn't need to make compromises. Having a benevolent dictatorship is the best way for the economy to grow.

If a benevolent dictator did come to power, all major problems would go away.

No, not really. It's rather like stubbing your toe so you drive a nail through your hand and suddenly you don't notice the toe you stubbed. Liberals have this idea that they can get a dictator that will do what they want and by the time they realize they've created a monster, it's too late.

Except for the violent revolution that would ensue, but other than that I'm sure it would be great...

Why would there be a violent revolution? If life is better after, no revolts will happen.

You must not be an American. If you think that a dictatorship could be implemented in the US without large scale bloodshed then you're delusional.

Yes, I am an American. Americans will want a dictator if the economy doesn't improve soon.

First, please tell me you're a 15 year old European.. and not an American.

Next, I'm certain my definition of "good" would differ considerably from yours...rectify that, if you would.

And C, if this "good" dictator drops dead of a heart attack, what mechanism would be in place to decide the "goodness" of his replacement?

Obama's first two years as President was tantamount to a dictatorship. He had total control, and everything he wanted to get passed was passed. Now we are swimming in the wreckage that he has caused.

I'm American. A good dictator is someone who can fix all major problems in the world in a short amount of time. The dictator picks the successor most of the time.

Obama is not a dictator. If he was, he would be a bad dictator. There are good and bad dictators. There have been more bad dictators than good throughout history.
