    No, not all can - fetus' for example.

    People who are mentally retarded do not gain rational thought over time. Sorry your principle cannot be applied with any consistency. Humans differ. They are not all rational.

    Why?

    Again because his interest is contingent upon my person, where as mine is not contingent upon his person. His interest is an extension from his person to another - me. My interest is not an extension, as it only concerns me. By default my interest should be up held.

    See above. I also noted compromise in other situations in my last comment, but as I said, this is rather irrelevant to abortion.

    A zygote does not have a human brain.

    It is not a living human.

    By what standard are you a conservative? :roll: I've not seen any evidence of it. You seem to hang out in the religion and abortion forums bashing Christianity, and advocating abortion. How are those conservative positions?

    I dont see a difference, I mean there comes a time when infanticide becomes wrong (when the baby gains consciousness and interest in its existence), but fundamentally there aren't separate.

    I agree. I love how lifers accuse me of being a nazi and I just turn around and say, so? so what? what if I am? How does that invalidate my position? They cna never respond. All they have is ad hominem and, as you say emotional appeals, nothing more.

    You are interested in demonizing on the basis of political affiliation because you have no material in relation to the debate.

    Fiscal Conservatism, Capitalism, Limited Govt intervention, Upholding the Constitution - Individual liberty and personal freedom and in particular "freedom from religion" is what I believe in.

    These are historical Conservative ideals.

    The religious right taking over the party and degrading many of the traditional ideals has been an abomination under God and the Party.

    Every cell is human life ? Killing a human cell, whatever it happens to be doing, is not killing a child.

    The zygote cell is not "a human"

    That a zygote has the ability to create/form a child at some point in the future does not make it a child. The zygote represents the "potential" for a child.

    While I agree that there is value in this potential, It is incorrect to claim that at the zygote stage this potential has been realized such that the zygote cell can be classified as "a human" "baby" "child" and so forth.

    Taking a human life is wrong. Justifying a mother killing her child shows how cold and uncaring the left has gotten. The hate for the unborn is just wrong.
