Why do people laugh at Creationists?

Oh ffs. Be honest just for once in your life. The thread is about CREATIONISTS, not all religious people.

How many threads have you, and indeed the other atheists, jumped into while bashing Creationists AND religious people (whom are one in the same - but now not when called on it?)

There isn't even anything honest in this thread. It is the usual, atheists finding fault, trampling over the majority, so they can deride someone else.

Again, what case are you even making?

That Creationists are less than factual? So are Agnostic-Atheists, so are all the atheists who say their faith is not faith, but cannot prove it - meaning its a faith.

You atheists run fast and loose with facts when it suits your purpose, and the more militant and disrespectful an atheist is of Creationist, the more said atheist seem to bear out the same traits as Creationists.

 

I have no problem with people who say God guided evolution. The people that are ridiculous are the young earthers, which is what most creationists actually are.

I guess one could technically be a creationist if you believe God caused the big bang or something. But that isn't how most people who use the word mean it. If someone uses it that way, I still have no problem with that either. I may disagree, but I am not going to question their sanity.

This thread is about atheists drivel and repeated arguementation against Creationists ... by the same atheists, making the same points, and ignoring everything that counters their derision of religion.

So, as this thread is apparently ONLY about Creationists, I think we should discuss the atheist version of Creationists: Agnostic Atheists.

The belief that certainty can be arrived at by not even making a claim which this requires no proof or even ability to explain but is nevertheless absolutely airtight in its solution and scientific basis.

Sounds like a position that is utterly at odds with the reality of sceintific reasoning and logical problem solving, but ... well, people only laugh at the religious people who do this - atheists are immune, you see, because they are not actually claiming anything ....

I live in the city where Dinosaur Adventureland (before the owner, Kent Hovind, was imprisoned for tax evasion) used to be. I will gladly admit I didn't go to the park for one reason--I'd have been laughing and fuming at the outrageous lies that were promoted (based on looking at their website, not the actual park).

Just an aside, DAL is located about two blocks north of Pensacola Christian Academy, which is where the A Beka curriculum was written/tested. I think the PCA kids used to take walking field trips to DAL.

 

I wouldn't be surprised, that is the curriculum that I was schooled on.

It was a good curriculum, aside from the creationist bits in the science books. Like..... the earth being just thousands of years old, and not to worry about the environment because god will take care of it. :/ I may be wrong, but I have my own ideas as to why the right has little concern of human activities impacting the planet.
