I guess you do not. I am not saying you could not try to apply it here but I am simply saying your observation is incorrect. I am really not bothered I just like keeping you from poisoning young minds.
When very few houses are being built less lumber is sold, less insulation is sold, less light fixtures are sold, less air conditioners are sold, less plumbing fixtures are sold...and it goes on amd on. The labor marlet suffers ans even this affects retail sales. This is why Lowes is closing recently non-performing stores. So now it not only affects skilled labor but also retail sales. You do not need to be an economics major to see the writing on the wall. Less money made means less money spent...less money spent means less money made. Even banks are laying off workers.
I'd use it within the context of Festinger, applying it here to try and explain apparently irrational decision-making
You're not making any comment. We know that mass unemployment exists. We also know that there are numerous reasons behind it, from neo-liberalism to more standard demands of capitalism
....to wild privilege and zero oversight given the large finance banks and the central banks. Pure corporatism and corruption, nothing more.
I would put it more on the level of emotional dissonance if any because I do not have posts full of (*)(*) and threats. I can control my emotions and thoughts but it takes a bit of emotional labor to do it. I think you have issues with cognitive dissonance where you can not let your common sense enter into the threads you post in.
I've managed to use your inconsistency and failure to refer to basic economics correctly to advertise how psychology has been integrated into economic analysis. Don't you be worrying, it amused me and that's all that matters
government enforced privilege is not free market, regardless of the number of times your disinformation spreading political tool character repeats it.
The free market cannot exist. Free market economics is about coercing a result inconsistent with individualism, even if the herd convinced by utopianism don't appreciate it
Odd, you just blamed the free market for the corporatist relationship between the government and big banking. Are you retracting ? government coerced economic behaviors are inconsistent with individualism.
Keep up, I referred to free market economics. That uses snake oil selling to coerce a harmful outcome, duping of course the right wingers that bogusly believe they are libertarian
I get it, we have "free market economics" without a free market. Any more straws you care to grasp at ?
Come on, it isn't difficult! Free markets cannot exist. Free market economics, however, can be used to skew the ideologically limited. The result is neo-liberalism and very naive right wingers.
Free market economics are not practiced in markets that are not free. Next you will tell me the neo-cons are conservatives and right wing.
Catch up, free market economics is the snake oil that coerced the folly of neo-liberalism. I know you've been fed utopianism to hide from that economic reality, but do please try to break your shackles
yawn, what a boring disinformant you are. There was no "free market economics" in play. Keep repeating it though, while you kiss the hand of the bureaucrat who provides your sustenance
The only thing we don't know is whether you don't understand how neo-liberalism was coerced on us or whether you're suffering from dissonance. I'd go with the former as rationalising behaviour amongst the right wing is typically too blunt not to notice
Lose? I'm not the one that has been duped into thinking free markets are possible in capitalism. Crikey, I feel for those poor fellows!
Closest you'd probably get is with market socialism. Even then it wouldn't typically be desirable (given public goods, merit goods and assorted market failures)
