I have to kind of laugh at some of these comments on here. Paraphrasing..."Where's your God now Tebow," that sort of thing. Yes the Broncos took a shellacking by the Patriots, and I seriously doubt Mr. Tebow is lamenting the loss by asking God why he has forsaken him. The whole issue is pretty much just another excuse to mock and ridicule someone's sincere faith. Besides if these atheists really want to "go there," I noticed conveniently they've ignore d former St. Louis Cardinals all-star Alber Pujols...a player who openly displays and talks about his faith. Did I mention that the Cardinals won the World Series this past season...funny thing is the atheist jokes and sarcasm were largely mute. Selective memory I suppose...well sorry atheists, as they say you can't win 'em all. I'm certain for Mr. Tebow that winning in football is secondary to his faith...by all means do carry on carrying on with juvenile and snide remarks...y'all are predictable if nothing else.
Tim Tebow is an inept quarterback who seems unable to complete passes with much regularity. Beyond that, who cares about his personal beliefs?
Two things. 1. Atheists make more out of this than those who hold Tim Tebow in some esteem and 2. If God doesn't exist, If Christianity is false, why do atheists feel so compelled to spend so much time on it?
Atheists wouldn't care if Christians, and other religious people, didn't try to force their beliefs upon us.
As an Atheist all I have to say is: "Who Cares?" It does not matter if he runs down the street confessing his faith to all who can hear him. Only people who are insecure in their own beliefs even waste the time to worry about something like that.
Point The edge of the known universe The edge of the milky way galaxy The edge of the solar system The upper atmosphere YOUR HEAD
Good points. Obviously there's allot atheist who are insecure in their lack of faith. I don't do religion, but I refuse to label myself a atheist, since there's a vocal minority that come across as rabid (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s, and are just bad as the bible thumpers who they love to rail against.
If you can't play a ball game without having to thank God everytime you score a point, there is something wrong with you.
Why would you think that? It's his lifestyle and b/c of it, he's a very happy and content person...... Why would you think someone has something mentally wrong w/them just b/c they're usually very happy? And from what I've heard about Tebow, he's also a very generous and caring person...... now that's a mental disorder everyone should have - doncha think?
Why is everyone always so sure he's thankin God for a win, when in actuality he is probably thanking God for giving him the talent and ability to play professionally in the first place. Most People I know would call having the talent to be an NFL QB a "gift" and be thankful to have it, regardless of wins/losses.
Funny. He was the 1st ever sophomore to win the Heisman Winner of Davey O'Brien award as the Nations BEST college Quarterback 2 time winner of Maxwell Award as the Nations top college football player Winner of the James E. Sullivan Award as the Nations most outstanding amateur athlete in ANY SPORT! http://www.timtebow.com/
This has already been explained to you on more one occasion. Their are a lot of Christians in the US, they just so happen to want the US government to enforce their religious values, therefore they draw criticism. It would be a waste to time on criticizing Horus because no one is attempting to deny gays basic civil rights in the name of Horus. See, there isn't a vast conspiracy. Things are often just as they are explained.
No no no!.....God speaks to us through footbals, and rewards players who pray. That's why all the losing teams this weekend come from red states, and 3 of the 4 winning teams come from states with Democratic governors. You can't have it both ways...either Tim Tebow is aided by God, or God deosn't intervene in football games no matter how much one player prays. I'm not an atheist
he is living his life as he chooses. As you are. Do you have a problem with other people's choices? Then the problem is yours.
There aren't very many people who think his praying is bad...I just think that people should always be skeptical of people who think God actualy intervenes in sporting events.
no christians have said this. The whole thing is started by atheists who just don't like it. and in my opinion, God will intervene in certain conditions. Maybe he is bringing other people to a point where they choose God or no god.
I'm a Presbyterian. My minister shares the same view I have regarding prayer. We never pray for material things or outcomes. We only pray for him to show us the best path to deal with what comes. I don't think there are enough atheists who care about the Denver Broncos to be behind the whole annoyance with Tebow. I think this really comes from misonceptions regarding the what Bronco haters look at as "invoking" God in football.
pujols is a minority its okay for them to express their faiths because they are oppressed tebow has nothing to thank god for as he had everything handed to him and he didn't need to get into the NFL and get paid millions of dollars it was also very easy for him to get there given all the benefits he has in society compared to pujols who had to work for his spot in the professional league
