It has now been snowing for 20 hours and it is really starting to get high. We are expecting another 10 inches by this time tomorrow.
Make that almost 22 hours now and now it is snowing harder and heavier and faster with the wind whipping it around.
I just saw this on national weather service THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT...THE WINTER STORM WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT WESTERN WYOMING WITH TOTAL SNOWFALL OF SEVERAL FEET POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH 9 TO 18 INCHES ACCUMULATING IN THE VALLEYS.
Yesterday it snowed a ton all morning and afternoon, in the evening it changed to rain in the valley and continuous snow in the mountains. Avalanche alerts for some highways in Idaho and many of our ski resorts are opening up.
Aren't you Americans underdeveloped and all have electric wiring above ground? You probably will be off-line as your electricity will be cut down, no?! Best of luch to weather the storm, OldTimer.

Well 48 hours of snow and 26 inches of it here in town. This is getting to be a drag cause it is still snowing.
Well we already have some piles over 6 feet tall and some taller than that. And yes it will take a long time to melt. It will be the end of April to the first of may before it is all melted. We still have 2 and 1/2 months of winter and snow to go yet to.
Well here it is now 3 1/2 days of snow with no let up in sight. They said 2 to 4 for last night, we got it. They are saying 3 to 7 inches for today, we are getting it. They said 2 to 4 for tonight we will more than likely get it as we are still 100% chance of snow. The last two days I measured 24 and 1/2 inches in my driveway. They are saying that we could get snow every day for the next week. HELP
Perth this week (celsius): Mon - 36 Tue - 37 Wed - 39 Thur - 40 Fri - 40 Sat - 39 Sun - 38 NOoooooooo!!!!! http://weather.watoday.com.au/local.jsp
After nothing but snow for about a week I sure am glad to see the sun shining today. While I do know that the shoveling is good exercise for me, it do tend to get a bit boring after a while.
We had freezing rain the night before last, but it's since melted away, thanks in part to the non-freezing rain we're getting. It's supposed to stay in the 40s overnight, so yay. Good bye ice, if only for a few more or so days.
I should have posted this last Wednesday when it did this: It started snowing around 7ish and by 11 it was a winter wonderland. Then the next day it warmed up enough that it turned to rain and it is pretty much gone. The foothills are still covered and hopefully our water source will be replenished.
Warm today, it will be in the mid thirties for the rest of the week, which I am happy about because I like the warmth!
