I am not religious at all. I grew up in a Catholic home. I left the church as soon as I could. My partner Mia is Jewish and we will raise our newly adopted son Jerzy in the jewish faith. its a stretch for me but makes Mia happy so i will do my best.

Not a problem, I am glad you wish to know. Too many people will hold on to what they already "know" and refuse to accept anything different.

Actually, we did not evolve from chimps/apes. Humans and apes evolved together from a common ancestor which did die out. However, you brought up a misconception. Just because an organism may divide and some evolve into another species, does not mean that the original species ceases to exist.

I agree with everything, except the part where you said:

Evolution can and has been proven. If you wish to learn more, I suggest you read the Spore and the theory of evolution thread. It is fairly long, but if you are interested, I suggest you take the time to read the whole thing. I provide many links to quite a bit of information, but I did not get involved in the conversation until the 4th page.
