Ah, that's the problem with the economy. About 10 million American workers just decided to go lazy at the same and live off those luxurious unemployment benefits at the same time. That's why unemployment shot up and is still high. Had nothing to do with the recession. Only in conservative la la land.
"Millions of government jobs" you mean. It's pretty easy to create jobs when there are two wars on and new government agencies being created.
Why would anyone think "Mr. Ownership Society" the guy in charge of agencies responsible for overseeing Fannie and Fredding and the banks and lending with the "industry can police itself" attitude had anything to do with the mortgage collapse? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYvtvcBKgIQ&feature=player_embedded"]Home Ownership and President Bush - YouTube[/ame]
Created millions of jobs? NO. Gas prices first spiked under Bush. Wrong again. Bush inherited a surplus from Clinton and left us with two dead-end wars, a record deficit, and a recession.... for Obama to fix! And many of you conservatives have made it your mission to oppose him at every turn! Way to go!!!
Which President during the last several decades has not stressed the importance of home ownership, especially in minority communities? You libs like to blame the repeal of Glass-Stegall as the reason for the housing crisis, yet it was repealed before Bush took office. Face it, you have nothing to pin on Bush with regards to the mortgage meltdown.
How has Obama fixed any of that? He not only extended those "two dead-end wars", but he got us involved in Libya, as well. He took Bush's worst deficits and massively increased them. He has racked up more debt in 3 years than Bush did in 8. Only in the mind of a braindead liberal would this be "fixing" anything.
It's real simple. He's a Marxist (and an atheist). He believes in the State. The nanny state. Big govt. Control. He would transform America to a totalitarian state today if he could, but the pesky Constitution is in the way. He's already getting around Congress and the Constitution by exec order and regulations. It's all about CONTROL. His arrogance and narcissism is so profound, he doesn't even hide it. He talks about it in public and on the record. Look at the border problem: He directed Holder NOT to deport any illegals who didn't break the law (other than being illegal). And does he respect the limits of his office? NO- The founding fathers anticipated we might elect a petty dictator. Like checks and balances? No, he doesn't. The evidence of exactly what he represents it there in his actions. All you have to do is LOOK.
What policies did he implement that caused this? What could he have done to stop it? The only (*)(*)(*)(*) here is being posted under your username.
This is exactly what the left wants in this country. To collapse the system, have everyone rely on the government for everything so this way they can dictate who gets what, how much, when and why. Its what Obama wants, don't be fooled. __________________
very true! only the blinded ones with vails over there eyes cant see this...but like the good sheep they are, they'll keep on grazzing the grass right off the cliff..
Not so. The Bush administration started sounding the warning alarm about F&F as soon as they got in office. There were at least 17 or more public warnings about the dangers of F&F growing so large and keeping such large portfolios...and the dangers that might mean for the housing industry. It was ignored by Democrats. And The Republicans never had enough of a majority to do anything about it on their own. They needed Democrat help and they NEVER got it. Only once late in the game did Barney Frank put forth some kind of make-shift legislation that was window dressing to make it look like he was doing something....when the writing became very clearly on the wall and he knew it was starting to come apart. During the Bush administration there were Hearings on the danger of F&F. The agency charged with overseeing him......were basically called racist by Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Barney Frank during these hearings for even daring to state that the guy running it then....as Waters refered to him....."the outstanding Frank Raines.....wasn't doing a good job. One only has to examine the records from those years to see who was really trying to change F&F and who wasn't. Barney Frank who headed the Committee stated over and over again that there were NO problems with F&F. And without Democrat help back then....nothing could be done about it. And sadly, Democrats are still using charges of racism to silence conservatives and keep them from preventing what happened to us due to Fannie and Freddie. Look for yourself [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4A0RuXhnQA"]Democrats Fighting Regulation of Freddie & Fannie - YouTube[/ame]
Dependancy surges 23% under obama... Apart from capital letters, the expression you want is 'under capitalism'.
How do people get to be quite so crazy? Is it drugs? How many right-wing Americans have ever read Marx - or, indeed, anything?
But all of it was ignored by Democrats: Here's the timeline of ALL the many warnings that Democrats and Congressman got from the Bush administration: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMnSp4qEXNM&feature=related"]Timeline shows Bush, McCain warning Dems of financial and housing crisis; meltdown - YouTube[/ame] NOT one Democrat leader agreed that there was a problem with Fannie & Freddie. In fact, they wanted it to continue growing even bigger. Fannie & Freddie were the Democrat's playhouse. And Senator Barack Obama did not even weigh in on bills presented to make the necessary changes to F&F when it could have helped to save us from the crisis that eventually came.
I'm well aware of the conservative propaganda mythology, thanks. It's been posted in this forum and rebutted hundreds of times.
The goal is to get as many independent votes dependent on the nanny state as possible. I just don't have the poll numbers do know if he is winning the battle.
