I would agree with you more, if it were possible for an elected representative to be elected on a platform of bearing true witness to our own laws.

Honestly, the only people that have a real hope with this issue are the PARENTS of the kids.

Some parents seem to give up and figure kids will be kids and kids will have sex. That couldn't be farther from the truth. I know lots of people who wait because of probably good parenting (or extreme unpopularity lol).

My immediate family is probably entirely practicing no premarital sex. I have several friends that do. It's NOT impossible. I can't exactly pinpoint what our parents did right. One thing they didn't do though is threaten us with hell and stuff if we did.


Nobody else really has much of a chance to influence their kids like that except family.

Some kids will wait. Some won't. The MOST IMPORTANT aspect of the issue is making sure that all kids, regardless of their current sexually active status, are equipped with the knowledge and ability to make smart choices with their bodies. Sexual education that includes information on pregnancy, diseases, and contraception is imperative, not optional. Whether they're active now or not, teenagers eventually become sexually active adults.
