How fascist has America become when kids aren't even allowed to hug any more? http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/news-odd/20120323/NJ.No.Hugging.School/?cid=hero_media
My guess is that more than "hugging" went on and that inspired this rule. "Hugging" seems like a vague code word to me. I really doubt the enforce it unless kids are basically making out in the hallways.
what kinda hugging... is that like the dry humping some call dancing? some go to far and ruin it for everyone... as an example chewing gum is allowed until people start putting gum in places that damage things I would need to know more before I criticized the school for such a rule
The institutionalized sexualization of our adolescent children continues.... When 7 year olds are investigated for "sexual harassment" because they kicked another boy in the walnuts... When 9 year olds are suspended for "sexual harassment" because they said their teacher was "cute"... banning all physical contact between children is the next logical step along our path to a brave new utilitarian world.
The kids can't hug, but they can bully.......talk about twisted thinking. Love that liberal mindset....
Hahahaha! So true Hat. I saw this story this morning, and couldn't believe it. It seems to be a two-for today with regards to crazyness in the Schools. I saw another story today about UK schools banning "best friends" lol. Link for anyone interested. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4203460/Schools-ban-children-making-best-friends.html
Wow, that is um......really dumb isn't it? No hugging, no best friends, just make sure you can put a condom on and that you know how to fist your best friend.....ER I mean your fellow classmate. God why do people listen to experts when it comes to their kids? In the day of information, we have more knowledge then ever, yet we are so dumb....lol. How is that?????
Yeah....lol. "Don't hug at school! Here we teach how to put your hand up your buddies descending colon. What is your descending colon? Sorry, you have to go through anatomy to learn that and we don't teach that here."
and dancing is dancing, but certain kinds of inappropriate hugging and dancing I would prefer are children not engage in unsolicited hugging and dry humping can be considered sexual harassment imo still think hugging is hugging, what if a male student was hugging all the girls in a way they did not like or guys in a way they did not like, hugging still hugging?
Very dumb indeed. I don't know where as a species we went off the track, but it seems today that up is down and vice versa.
There are thousands of different dances all over the world, and many include two people rubbing up against each other, there is only one way to hug someone. I think what you are trying to refer to above is grinding. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grinding_(dance) First of all, what the hell is "inappropriate hugging?" Second of all, where does dry humping come in during this discussion. Please try and stay on topic. Of course I still think hugging is hugging. What a dumb question to ask. I don't care if it is hugging, grabbing or touching, if anyone, male or female does that to someone who does not allow them to, it should be reported to the proper authorities. I am still not sure what any of that has to do with two friends hugging each other goodbye, which they now cannot do...
Sounds just like big government cluster (*)(*)(*)(*), but instead of calling the IRS its about sticking a hand where another man executes his bowels.
Throw this in with no dodge-ball, tag, competitive sports, booing, holding hands or...lets just stick everyone in a bubble or better yet, allow every kid to telecommute so they don't even have to be next to other children. That way everyone is nice and safe=)
It is just another way to group everyone together. If everyone is equal, than no one gets ahead. If no one gets ahead, than we don't need leaders. If we don't need leaders than we don't need democracy.
No real way to know but my guess is that something worse than hugging happened so this is the schools attempt to curb whatever that other behavior is. I'm not sure this is a good approach but the school house isn't a good place for PDA.
