Speaking of divas... oh yeah, you weren't... whatevah... got my pedi today, bought something new to wear (incl baubles), and splurged on new makeup. Maybe that's another good thing about the diva luncheons... I drag myself into well-groomed at least every 2 months.

LOL, there was an elderly lady (80's) in the nail salon getting a mani-pedi They took her into a back room between hands & feet and I didn't wanna think about it... but they do waxing in those back rooms. Surely not. Anyway, she was wearing a dark red wig... sassy little short Italian style bob... blue eye shadow and Peg Bundy tight, white capris w/a lime green shirt. She had her nails painted bright orange. You go, girl.

 

Awwww. come on & share, Ceny... we saw your blue hair... how much worse can it be???

Didn't even have lunch today, Foolie. Food slows ya down when you're shopping. Diva lunch is tomorrow. I might just have a bloody mary... never can tell!

 

Not a good idea'r to skip meals.Skip the rouge or the lipstick.
Skip the garter belt or nylons.But not meals.
It's like pulling up to the bar and asking for a draught but hold the mug.

 

You should look into Jamberrys. My niece sells those and they are ....well DIFFERENT. Her and her daughter have different ones on all the time.

SKEAK -- SKEAK

 

Ok honey chile, do tell. Must have been some get together.

 

It was fun... but honey, it was l-o-n-g. I picked up one diva and we drove to another diva's house and rode with her. Must've been 75 miles (other side of FtW). Our driver was the one who set up this get-together so she wanted to be early to be sure everything was set up OK. The 3 of us got there at 11:20. She told the others to be there at noon. We ate bread dipped in olive oil (I was starving to death). Everyone finally got there and we ordered lunch about 1. I had a nice glass of chardonnay with my chicken scallopini, which made me wanna go home and lay down. Instead, we sat there and talked until 3 friggin o'clock. I'm tired. Who knew hen partying could be so tough?

One diva was talking about setting up a slumber party for our Oct get together. She said we could get a corner room at one of the luxury hotels, have a nice dinner and stay up all night telling stories and giggling.

Uh huh.

We'll see.

 

3 a friggin clock? In the afternoon? Well. When we go for lunch, it's like this...the waiter asks for the order, we order any food at all (it's not about the food, we don't care what we eat) and a glass of wine. Waiter says large, medium, small. Friend says extra large. I generally don't remember the rest, but it breaks up about 21:00 when a husband appears to uplift us.

We are back from England (praise the Lord) and were going to go up to Skye for a few days, but instead became involved in a domestic (some work in the house that really needs done). I don't know if either of us can be bothered going up north now. Being stuck in a car doesn't appeal after driving down South.
