Jamie Foxx - "I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that?".

Really? You think we have sunk as a society because black people make fun of white people?

 

You haven't even seen or read about the movie. He kills A LOT of white people in it (blows up a whole KKK type meeting in one scene!). Because of this he was making a generalization, or hyperbole if you will. And since the white people he kills are violent hick racists and slave masters it is great.

 

It is a white guy who frees him in the movie, and there are several other white characters which aren't portrayed as evil henchmen. So he doesn't in fact 'kill all the white people in the movie", yet he decided that would be a cute thing to say, and topped it off with, "how great is that"?

But it's not this comment alone, it's his whole dialogue from his SNL intro. The entire thing is the type of garbage a white actor would be ripped apart for.

 

You know, I see the comedy in it and it does not offend me in the least. That being said, certainly if it was a white comedian, say, on Blue Collar Comedy, like Larry the Cable Guy, started making "blacktopping the roads," jokes, all hell would break loose for sure.

There is, no doubt, a double standard. But I ain't gonna let it ruin my day. Fool's are gonna be fool's no matter if I get PO'd about it or not..

Yeah, but what's the purpose of this movie? What's the point of the storyline? As we've established, the script itself is fictional. So why did they make this movie? It doesn't appear to be anything more than a glorified revenge fantasy. Something that will basically just stir the pot and fan the flames of racial tension for a nice big profit. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm still not seeing what's so "great" about this.

It is absolutely acceptable because whites are the majority and this is the kind of behavior they tolerate.

It will only take extreme racism against the sleeping giant to wake him. Hopefully he didnt drink and smoke all his brain cells away.

Well, it's a slow news day. The right-wingers have to trot out some race-baiting rant to keep the bile flowing among the faithful.
What's hilarious is to watch them foam at the mouth over an SNL routine yet brazenly claim that a political pundit like limbo is just an entertainer when he calls a woman a slut or Obama the magic negro.

 

There are alot of other factors here you are excludung, These "white people" were slave owners who had kidnapped his wife and destroyed his life (in the movie), and I am sure there are alot of people who would have loved to kill the POS slave owners. Unless of course, you find owning slaves to be a honorable profession.

 

he didn't say "i killed all the slave owners" he said "i killed all the white people" thats like in a cop movie say the white actor who played the cop says "i killed all the blacks, how great is that??" when by your standards thats okay because he just killed the criminals and gang members.....

Most people are intelligent enough to understand who those "white people in the movie" were.

if in a cop movie where the white cop killed a lot of black gang bangers.... if the white actor had said "i killed all the black people, how great was that??"
