Did you read the police reports? It was Emmanuel Burgess.

We don't know that Zimmerman was violent, though we do know he appeared to be in at least an annoyed state of mind based on his statements.

You don't have to break a law to at fault for creating a dangerous or violent situation. Walk into a black nightclub and call folks n***er and see what happens.

Zimmerman went after Martin, not the other way around.

No, I read the police reports from the police and Burgess was not a witness in any of them.

    - - - Updated - - -

So? Being annoyed is not against the law.

Teenagers do stupid things all the time and get themselves killed, street racing comes to mind.

"young people become scared they puff themselves up and try and dominate the situation"

A smart person young or old when becoming scared because someone is following them would try to evade that person. Since he was close to his fathers girlfriends house the most logical choice would be to run to there and call the Police. The second most logical choice would be to hide and observe till the follower departed if the first wasn't an option due to physical location. The stupid ass choice would be to approach the follower and confront him. An even worse choice would be to attack the follower. Young T-Bones did both of the latter an got himself killed in the process. Anyone stupid enough to make those choices was bound to assume room temperature before his natural expiration date. Like the guy in South Korea who was so angry that he missed the elevator he continually rammed his electric scooter into the doors till he went right through and down 3 floors, we have witnessed the evolutionary process in both cases. Anyone dumb enough to do what either of them did would do mankind a disservice by procreating. They should be applauded for removing themselves from the gene pool of humanity.

Oh, there is that claim alluded to again.

Why don't you just come out and say it Margot?

Nobody had anything to worry about after Emmanuel Burgess was caught because he was doing ALL the burglaries right?

The only problem is that we both know that Olivia Bertalan reported that TWO black males entered into her place and stole things.

    TWO BLACK MALES.

Sounds like the Retreat was still under possible danger from at least one other black male that was not caught and obviously had no regard for the law.

Trayvon was no victim. He was a hoodlum who punched Z in the nose (broke it) and had him on the pavement bashing in his head. The jury understood the facts and evidence. They came to the right decision.

I have no dog in this fight. I know the facts and evidence. So did the jury. Mr. Zimmerman was justly acquitted. He was a victim who killed an aggressor to save his own life. Black males between the age of 15 and 30 comprise only 2% of the population, yet they're responsible for over half the murders in the United States. Trayvon was a punk and a hard core criminal in the making. There's no excusing or defending him.

Self defense is not okay with those who promote race above reason - as is the case here. But who in this world would allow themselves to be killed without trying to stop it by any means at their disposal? No one. PC and "white guilt" isn't a good enough reason to let a black man kill you if you are Hispanic or white.

    <meh>

Excuses, excuses. That's all I've seen on this thread. It figures.

I find the ^^^ type of post disgusting. We know little to nothing about Martin, and certainly nothing that confirms he was a hood.

This is not a matter of race above reason. It's a perfect case if ignorance vs ignorance. The jury's very was correct, a reasonable doubt was created by the evidence. However, George's behavior was a contributing factor in the Martin's death. So many here forget that George was the adult who knew he was dealing with a teen. George behavior was reckless and foolish.

Martin had as much right to defend himself as George. Problem, Martin was unable to testify.

Your hoodlum/punk comments speak volumes. FL allows a person to use deadly force in a situation created by the person using the force. IMO, this is a terrible that should be changed.

    >>MOD EDIT: KEEP IT IMPERSONAL<<

EDIT: You find those who defend the dead teen as inexcusable. IMO, there is no excuse for anyone to defame/degrade the person who is dead and is unable to speak for himself. Again, is disgusting.

Applauding the unnecessary death of an innocent kid. We can always count on our conservative friends to take the moral high ground.

Here is what we know about Tray-

    Had multiple tattoos
Liked to wear a gold grill
    Liked to fight MMA
Hated school and was on his third suspension
    Liked to retweet sex tips
Liked to tell girls they had a loose (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)
Had pictures of a gun in his phone
    Had a taste for Lean
Was found with two of the three ingredients at the time of death
    Smoked Pot
    Had liver damage
    Mom kicked him out
Called himself No Limit (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) on social media
    Password protected his phone twice
Had pictures of at least one naked minor on his phone

So, please, stop with the we don't know who trayvon was crap, because we really know alot. Also, degrading defaming, whatever that means, an alive person is just as worse. Just because you die does not absolve you of your time on earth, no matter how much its argued.

So if I get caught in the rain after going to a convenience store I am lurking? An interesting definition, Hoosier8. By that standard, how many times have you "lurked" in your life?

Another of George's exaggerations.. A few burglaries but mostly petty theft.

The nicest part is that it does not matter what you think. You were not on the jury. And the jury found him not guilty.

It doesn't matte what you think either. Who cares what the jury thought?

You are reaching just as the State did in bringing this case to trial. A hasty rush to judgment often ends poorly for those who make haste when patience is called for.

What evidence was there to convict of murder and the later default charge of manslaughter?

You are emotionally invested in a person you admittedly don't know and now can never know. If this hadn't happened to Mr. Martin have you considered that you most likely would have never been interested in him? You, among others, have become www forum defenders of a media created/influenced memory. Why not leave him to those who hold affection for him rather than continue to expose his memory to hard hitting questions and responses?

Perhaps you might enjoy the teenage Mr. Temar Boggs and his recent celebrity?

God? Sometimes the more we think we know, the less we're able to understand the obvious. I cannot look at all of nature or the complexity of the body's systems, for instance, and honestly think...absolutely an accident that genetically and conveniently morphed at the exact crucial moment of need after slithering out of the primordial soup.

As far as the verdict goes it does not matter what I think either. The jury found him not guilty.

Shall we return to trial by combat then? I have occasionally wondered if you were essentially lawless.

In a legal and judicial sense the jury's thought is actually a big deal

Do you have some point you'd like to make?

    - - - Updated - - -

Maybe to you it is. To me what is more important is a law that allows someone armed with a gun unnecessarily create a confrontation where violence is more likely and not being responsible for the consequences of his actions.

Of course he was responsible for his actions but so was Martin, unless you think attacking someone with fists (which kill more in this country than rifles) is just AOK.
