Bush TOLD his Intel what to tell the Congress. He fired anyone who told him or Congress anything he didn't want to hear. His lies were job related, cost thousands of American lives and bankrupted our country. These definitely were not the only lies he told. We will be paying for the damage he did us in this and many other areas for a hundred years. I think he is the worst President in our history bar none, and a full fledged international criminal who should be tried by the Hague.

Clinton was impeached by a Congress that was trying to overturn the results of a legitimate election and that was the precursor of what was the worst Congress we have ever had. His lies were totally harmless to the nation and were absolutely justified by the fact that the Grand Jury testimony that had already been given was being deliberately "leaked" by the Special Prosecutor, which is illegal in itself. If anybody did the worst crime it was the SP, who corrupted the judicial process.

Have any of you guys ever thought that unless Obamacare actually results in big piles of bodies outside the hospital doors people will be thinking "Gee, it's not that bad" and then realizing all the Conservatives have been lying to them? I don't really understand how you think you're going to get more votes by telling people you're going to take something away from them :confusion:

Easiest Question I've ever been asked. Unquestionably >> Ronald Reagan. This phony trickster, singlehandedly changed the definition of a conservative, from one who favors a big strong govt, supported by high taxes on the rich, that could pay for infrastructure, a strong military, a good homeland security (FBI, CIA, DEA, ICE, CBP, etc), into one that favors a small, weak govt. that neglects the protections th American people need to CONSERVE our way of life.
He did this because as a movie star with a very high salary, he didn't want to pay the 70% tax that existed before he was president (92% under Eisenhower), so he conjured up all this phony economics (trickle down, etc) to justify it. His goofy con jobs stuck with young kids growing up in the 70s and 80s, too young to know about the REAL conservatism, before Reagan came around.

My question is for all the lovers of government across the land - will your beloved central authorities ever be strong enough to please you?

I hope there comes a day when you folks can finally say, OK - I think that's just about enough with the government power thing already. Viewing government as something that can grow in power and authority without limit or negative repercussions will eventually bite even the faithful worshipers in their holier-than-thou asses.

Not sure what im supposed to say here. I actually like Rand Paul. And to your shock, I would even be willing to have Boehner over someone like Pelosi. As for Christie I dont know. Not someone who I really follow. You act as if im a radical republican or something when im actually a democrat that is leaning republican because of Obama and other dems over the last 5 years. Maybe Christie is okay. Ill follow him more when he is actually running for POTUS.

I'm curious who you'd prefer, as a recovering Democrat?

Nevermind, I just saw that you said Rand Paul... Not only are you a recovering Democrat, but you're leaning Conservative. Welcome aboard!

Could be it was never a lie at all (from any source): http://www.nysun.com/foreign/iraqs-wmd-secreted-in-syria-sada-says/26514/

The fact that they didn't find anything in Iraq, at the time of the invasion, doesn't mean to say that they weren't there at the time of the reporting. Now we're talking about WMDs in Syria. Coincidence?

Yes, let's just pretend Clinton never lied... it didn't count. He's a liar - always has been. Come to grips with it.

Everything Conservatives have been warning about is occurring. People are losing their insurance plans, prices are higher than expected, and eventually you'll see more death panels. Just give it time.

Obama is the biggest liar of all. He not only lies he then blames it on someone else. We need a pole What president knew the least about what was going on in the white house. that two would be Obama. So far that is two for two. With more to come.

Except the first was a lie, also told in a federal court and a federal grand jury constituting perjury and obstruction of justice while the other two were not lies.

They didn't while we were fighting to get 14% inflation and 21% interest rates wrung out of the economy. They were the least of our worries.

Context matters you know. But the of course Reagan requested less spending than Congress authorized each year, requested more rescissions than they authorized and still brought the deficits down to $150 billion each of his last three years. Would have been under $100B had they accepted his budgets and recissions.

He did nothing of the sort as the Congressional hearings found. Just as during the Clinton administration the intel was clear, Saddam was a WMD threat and would always be a WMD threat.

    Whoop de doo.

Iraq is an "urgent threat" or my tax cuts will not cause deficits in terms of scale. Far more profound in terms of impact that the president getting a blow job you all are still so obsessed with.

    - - - Updated - - -

Ya think? Someone forgot to tell this guy:

"For decades, we have piled deficit upon deficit, mortgaging our future and our children's future for the temporary convenience of the present. To continue this long trend is to guarantee tremendous social, cultural, political, and economic upheavals. You and I, as individuals, can, by borrowing, live beyond our means, but for only a limited period of time. Why, then, should we think that collectively, as a nation, we are not bound by that same limitation?" —Inaugural address, Jan. 20, 1981

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3638320/

That was before he ran up the debt 180%.

LBJ, the peace candidate overwhelmingly elected against Goldwater in 1964
was by far the biggest liar.

Barry/Barack Obama with his "hope" and "change" is a very close second.
No super rich have suffered on Obama's watch. Working people do.

I mean with NIXON, you had to be naive not to expect a liar.

May Lyndon Baines Johnson currently be suffering the torments of Hell for now and eternity.

    How intellectual.

    No lie there.

With a subordinate employee in a federal building and giving her special favor creating a hostile work environment and lying about it while being sued for sexual harassment which occurred when he sexually molested a subordinate employee who sued him resulting in his committing perjury and obstruction of justice, borth felonies, in a federal court and a federal grand jury violating his oath of office. You see it was a little more than just getting a blow job wasn't it.

No which is why he said this before that

"The business of our nation goes forward. These United States are confronted with an economic affliction of great proportions. We suffer from the longest and one of the worst sustained inflations in our national history. It distorts our economic decisions, penalizes thrift, and crushes the struggling young and the fixed-income elderly alike. It threatens to shatter the lives of millions of our people.

Idle industries have cast workers into unemployment, causing human misery and personal indignity. Those who do work are denied a fair return for their labor by a tax system which penalizes successful achievement and keeps us from maintaining full productivity."
    http://bartleby.com/124/pres61.html

    First things first.

And each year that was occurring the Democrat control congress authorized and spent more than he requested.

    LBJ lied us into Vietnam.
    Nixon lied about Watergate.

Hell I'm sure Ford and Carter lied about something.
    Reagan lied about Iran Contra.
Bush 41 lied about no new taxes.
Clinton lied to the Country and under oath.
Bush 43 lied about WMDs and Iraq.
Obama lied about obamacare and a host of other things.

I'm sure we are starting to see a clear pattern here.

Appropriate for the post I responded to.

    Iraq was no "urgent threat".

    What special favors?

Doesn't compare to the scores of thousands killed and trillion + wasted.

No which is why he said this before that
Nothing to do with running up the debt.

Economic hardship creates the need for bigger deficits. Exactly.

Reagan got his massive spending increases because of the Republicans in Congress joined by a handful of "boll weevil" Democrats, giving them an effective majority.

Nope just couldn't come up with an intellectual response.

    Yes it was.

Are you really that ignorant of the scandal?

As I said first things first, why did you leave it out of you cite of his speech. He was clearly saying that that was the first problem the country faced.

The higher interest rates and inflation pushed up government spending and cost just as it did in the private sector.

Depends, Reagan was faced with unprecedented high interest rates and inflation, Obama had no such problem.

Having problems reading again, I said quite clearly Reagan requested LESS spending than the Democrats authorized. He didn't get his lower spending and rescission he requested, the Democrats wanted to and did spend more,

Everyone not actually mad knows that Nixon was hugely dishonest, though who knows about obscure Nineteenth Century rogues? I suppose Reagan was pretty much of a liar in his goofy way, but right-wing politicians are bound to be, obviously, so you can hardly make much of a case for the honesty of anyone except your pea-nut President, whose name has been burned out of my head by fascist death-rays.

Reagan increased spending far faster than inflation.

So what? Inflation is an issue for the Fed, not the President. Obama faced a financial, auto, and housing industry collapse. Reagan had no such problem.

Reagan was the one who wanted the massive military buildup that drove the spending increases, not the Dems.

Many fiscal experts cite disparities between Mr. Reagan's talk and his actions. Among their points are these:

    * Long committed to balanced budgets and fiscal integrity, Mr. Reagan has overseen the creation of more new debt than the combined deficits of all previous Presidents. He assailed Jimmy Carter's $73.8 billion deficit in the 1980 campaign, but the deficit reached $220.7 billion in 1986, and the deficit target for the forthcoming budget is $136 billion. The deficits rose from 2.6 percent of the gross national product in the fiscal year 1981 to 6.3 percent in 1983, then dropped to 3.4 percent this year.

    * While Mr. Reagan was committed to reducing the size and scope of the Federal Government, the Federal civilian work force increased during his Presidency by 150,000, growing to more than 3 million.

    * While Mr. Reagan was committed to reducing Government spending, it rose by $321 billion during his Presidency, to more than a trillion dollars. Federal outlays rose from 22.7 percent of the gross national product in 1981 to 24 percent in 1985. Then, bowing to Congressional pressures, spending dropped back to 22.7 percent of the G.N.P. Trend Actually Began In the Carter Era

It already has failed. Do I think getting health care will kill people? No, it's the lack of health care that will kill people. Obamacare doesn't ensure that people are getting health care, they're forced to get health insurance. Death panels (the government's decision to dissuade some from receiving health care for the better good of the many) will kill people. It's already happened to a little girl without Obamacare being fully implemented and I suspect that in addition to rationalized health care, you'll be seeing this happen much more often in the future.

Pitiful dodge and as noted Congress spent more than Reagan requested.

And the President who works with the FED, another pitiful dodge.

All brought about by policies which he supported and the financial was already solved, there was not pending auto collapse. If he wasn't up to the job he shouldn't have run for it.

    He had worse.

The Dems every year authorized more spending than he requested. Had they accepted his budgets and rescissions the deficits would have been at or below $100B that last three years of his term.

Why do you keep ignoring the facts?

    - - - Updated - - -

Why, why does it need your "historical perspective"? What does it add to the fact that Obama has created the biggest fraud on the American people in the history of the country?
