I don't see anywhere WanRen has implied he is like Jesus, or that you are not suppose to question him, he has been answering all of your questions. What led you to those false assertions?...oh I know, it's the condition called misinterprelitus...eh?...lol

You are not understanding the omnipotence of God, like WanRen said, nothing is impossible for God. Click on the link below which should help your understanding of what it means for God to be omnipotent.

How do you misinterpret what WanRen was saying? He said that the world was barbaric and God used the Israelites to bring back civility by fighting back this barbaric world.

In otherwords God was using the Israelites as His instrument in punishing evil nations such as the Canaanites.

Furthermore the Canaanites really didn't own their country, the real owner is and still is Almighty God! He owns all real estate in this whole wide world!

Could it be it's because you have neglected to acknowledge the fact that the Canaanites deserved their punishments? God gave them 400 years to repent their evil ways but they continued their rebellion against God.

All you have been doing is a one-sided attack making it looked like the Israelites were the bad guys. That is disingenuous and dishonest.

God had morally sufficient reasons for destroying the depraved evil culture of the Canaanites...they were the barbaric people...don't you think the omniscient God would know that?

We being created in God's image does not mean we became sinful because God is sinful. C'mon you should know that...weren't you once an ordained minister? You know what happened in the Garden when a pair of humans disobeyed God.

When God's punishes His creations it is not barbaric for Him to do so, since He is the Creator and is Sovereign over His creations. He has every right to keep His creations in line. It's very simple if the people didn't sin, God would not have any reason to punish them now would He?

We will defend God's actions anyday over the actions of evil wicked human beings who are deserving of being punished for their sins.

Myths? Is it a myth that people can be so sinful, evil, wicked? Don't you see that still playing out in today's world? Are you living under a rock or something?

No, they're not pretty darn sure about anything, according to the Bible which is the Word of God, the Israelites were the Israelites and the Canaanites were the Canaanites.

People tend to be ignorant about the logistical problems associated with feeding a million man infantry force, even if one existed in the ancient world. Taking a million men out of a primitive agricultural work force and turning them into a well-disciplined army would have been impossible. They and their society would have starved to death. The US had major problems with farm labor shortages during WWI & WWII. We had to import foreign farm workers to keep food production going.

A highly mobile force, like the Mongols, fared better because they were able to cover greater distances than foot soldiers. So they stayed fairly well-fed.

Maybe Wycliffe made some of those fairy tales up when he wrote the Bible?

The Exodus as written in the Holy Bible is a true historical event in my belief.

So what's next are you going to say the resurrection of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ was not a true historical event?

You might as well say that if you're going to say such and such event was not true.

Look it's obvious you being a non-believer will say anything to discredit the Bible.

Truth is nobody in today's world can say with absolute certainty what is true or not true. It's all a matter of having faith.

So this mean that trevorw2539 got it wrong when he posted that it was available at Museum Alexandria the Museum build by Ptolemy Lagides, 367 BC – c. 283 BC when Macedonian conquered Israel? It can not be Wycliffe because just like the Museum of Alexandria the Old Testament was already around for Wycliffe the Bible both OT and NT were already around for hundred of years. Actually these authors J. R. R. Tolkien, J. K. Rowling, L. J. Smith, George Lucas, Gene Roddenberry, and Pierre Boulle are more accurate and consistent with atheist science they have talking apes, scientist apes, talking trees, talking mice, talking lion, orcs, goblins, dwarfs, elves, wizards, giants, Hobbit, Borg, Klingon, and humans they all have one thing in common no God and no Jesus Christ.

So all you can really say is that it was accidental in nature...that is not a good answer.

Here is my definite positive answer...it was God who designed the natural laws of the entire universe.

The universe obeys certain rules—laws to which all things must adhere. These laws are precise, and many of them are mathematical in nature. Natural laws are hierarchical in nature; secondary laws of nature are based on primary laws of nature, which have to be just right in order for our universe to be possible.

But, where did these laws come from, and why do they exist? If the universe were merely the accidental by-product of a big bang, then why should it obey orderly principles—or any principles at all for that matter? It should be chaotic in nature.

Such laws are consistent with biblical creation. Natural laws exist because the universe has a Creator God who is logical and has imposed order on His universe.

The Bible tells us that there are laws of nature—"But this is what the Lord says: I would no more reject my people than I would change my laws that govern night and day, earth and sky." Jeremiah 33:25 NLT

These laws describe the way God normally accomplishes His will in the universe. God’s logic is built into the universe, and so the universe is not haphazard or arbitrary.

It's only awesome when you have the right partner..if you know what I mean...lol

But too bad...in your world view you are not going to keep having it forever...you may want to keep having it forever but it's unrealistic...remember you atheist believe that one day you are going to just become fertilizer and food for bugs and be totally non-existent.

So I guess you atheists over indulge in everything you are hooked on to your hearts content because tomorrow is not promised to anyone...right?...lol

This post of yours actually makes me simply pity you. The ignorance of it is stunning.
I never saw the OT as history, and neither do thousands of ordained ministers. Being ordained does not equate to being a fundamentalist. Many denominations do not see Genesis or Exodus as parts of a textbook, but rather as a recording of the evolution of faith. The Hebrew mythology is a glimpse of a people and how they tried to understand God, not a record of the facts of Him, and many denominations understand it exactly that way, complete with ordained ministers that preach that understanding.
I left the faith after realizing that what I had wasn't faith but a need for comfort, for answers. Need can easily overpower reason, and that is just what happened to me. When I gained the strength to be comfortable with the unknown I could no longer pretend to believe much of what I had convinced myself of, but it had never included the inerrancy of scripture. Your exposure to clergy is myopic. You live in a tiny, closed culture.
Another childish assumption on your part is that I don't believe in god. What I don't believe in is the bible's God. The true nature of god, if one exists, is completely unknown to me, but I at no time have ruled out the possibility of one. I am not an atheist, as much as that may disappoint you. I know you would like to rant and point your finger at me as such, but it simply doesn't apply. You assume it does because I find your vision of him childish and horrific and unquestioning. That doesn't make me an atheist. It does mean I'm not dogmatic. Your insular belief system does not allow you to understand the difference.
So many assumptions in your post. So little ability to see any other engagement with scripture other than your own. Even Pat Robertson is telling the evangelicals to stop saying the earth is 6000 years old because it makes believers look stupid and ignorant. Someday that understanding will apply to justified genocide, that it simply makes people look ignorant.

No kidding! You know something I like eating too. Do you like eating a banana split? Man I love eating them but just occasionally though...got to watch my waist-line.

Well yeah, it's great to communicate, isn't that's what we're doing here on this fantastic site?...yes we are!

Video games are for kids...how old are you?...lol That's ok you don't need to tell me you're an 80 yr. old man...lol

Well that's not surprising, humans beings are very creative. I like to go for walks too but not in the woods, don't want to be surprised by some rabid animal...lol

I love to live too, it's great being alive and well. Sorry but I don't see myself as this pointless being as you do. I have a purpose, I have a meaningful life and because of that I want more of it, I want an eternity of life, yes! you heard me an eternity of life!

That's why I believe in Almighty God, the Creator of all existence, the Creator of life!

We read in Scripture, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."---John 3:16 NLT

You have stumbled upon the truth of your faith.
You love life (or fear death) so much you want to live forever, and that is why you believe in God. It allows you the fantasy that you will live forever. You state outright that this is why you believe. You want an eternity of life.
It is the exact same reason that millions believe.

No I thought I made myself clear on this. I do not accept anything a religious person tells me as their basis for these things has no evidence other than their wild and vivid imaginations. They should be listening to me not the other way around. Here I will illustrate your "religion" to you. YOu tell me what would happen to you and Mitt if you went to a country where Sharia law is practiced and you started a movement telling them that Muslims have it wrong? Everyone reading this knows the answer but I would like to see if you will write it out or not.

Facts are observable phenomena. As there has never been an observed resurrection and, in fact, nothing mentioned about ol' Joshua ben Pantera in contemporaneous accounts (despite minor charlatans in Iudea being mentioned in contemporary tourist books of the early Roman Empire) parsimony suggests that him being the son of YHWH is fairly unlikely.

Traditional dates And who knows what language it would have been if it had happened. Moses was educated as an 'egyptian'. Who knows what language he used when with Reuel. Semetic/Canaanite languages were related. It really is all speculation based on tradition not fact.

The other dates confirm what I said when I gave general dates.

How is it I can read it? How is it that the Hebrew Children of Jesus day had to learn it and be tested on it. How is it Jesus read from it in the synagogue?

As to the Bible. It is becoming more obvious over the years that many things in the Bible could NOT have happened. The evidence has been presented to you but you refuse it.

Agreed. Except most people use Swiss and offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes that should morally/rightfully be paid. Compare this to hiding away priests to avoid paying penalties?

And the Swiss are not under US law...the Catholic church is but as seen in the bolded part of Wanren's post above, he believes the church and priests are above the law.
He seems to feel that meditation is an adequate punishment for raping children!!!...doesn't value "god's children" very much at all.!!...and that's sickening..
Of course, he has NO proof whatsoever that priests were sent to monasteries for their punishment ..and all reports state that priests were just moved to greener pastures in other parishes..
