I'd add a 6th one to your list.

    6. Any firearm in the hands of a Rolling Stone reader.

This thread is a fail. Guns are not dangerous, criminals that use them for no good are dangerous.

Just thought this article was humorous.

At first I thought it was satire, but then I realized they were serious. Someone pitched this article to an editor, who then thought it was a great idea,.

I probably would have started my list with one that's at least loaded...

Actually revolver would be number 1 if your going by deaths.

I believe the .38 Smith and Wesson revolver is responsible for the most gun deaths in the US.

"Pistols are popular among handgun owners." In more news, a $10,000,000 government survey confirmed that water is wet.

Interesting. I'll bet that their five most dangerous people in America aren't related to firearm ownership.

As far as I can tell they only came up with three, Pistols, Rifles, and Shotguns; generally revolvers and derringers would fall into the pistol category.
Sadly they actually acknowledge this in their article.

Even liberal gun grabbers would have trouble swallowing a list that started with scariest, scarier, scary, water pistol, and BB gun...

Ever fired a derringer? They kinda scare me, like I might blow my finger off. But I am thinking about picking up a DoubleTap. For a nice little back up piece.

I'll disagree with this, the Beretta M9 and civilian equivalent 92FS, is the most widely used pistol in the World. Maybe specific to law enforcement the Glock is widely used, I'll accept that.

Glock has the "gangsta" mystique associated with it; I'll contest that Glock is overrated. I place the Smith and Wesson M&P as well as the Springfield XD as superior to the Glock for about the same price.

The best pistol, I've personally ever owned, was a Sig Sauer P226.

The most dangerous guns are the ones owned by your relatives, since half the dead are kin of the shooter.

What's funny is that they basically list all guns but then have to throw Derringers in just because. LOL

This reminds me of the argument that the 9mm Baretta sucks because it doesn't have the stopping power of larger caliber weapons. Unless it's a BB gun, they are all equally dangerous if used properly.

If used properly they are effective at removing the danger.
