I've been studying Islam lately, it's very interesting stuff. The religion may account for extra-terrestrial space aliens: So here the Qur'an is discussing how God created three sentient races. Then it says that there's other things people have no knowledge of. They are probably talking about sentient beings and not non-sentient beings like squirrels since the subject of the passage is the creation of the sentient beings. As such, it seems that the existence of aliens from outer space would not throw Islam for a loop
True! I have read a powerful case that the experiences of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were probably an out of the body experience or near death experience. Other near death experiencers have been shown specific details about this question. http://www.allaboutchristian.com/spirituality/
Good question. Even Richard Dawkins Ph. D. has speculated about the possibility of alien life being involved in evolution. I would go so far as to hope that what the Koran and Jewish scriptures seem to say on the topic could play a role in genuine peace coming to the Middle East. Many well informed Muslims know that the 2011 UFO sighting over the Jerusalem Temple Mount could fit perfectly with Islamic prophecies for what the Jews accomplish in the latter days.
Hoax in the Holy Land. http://www.livescience.com/12826-jerusalem-ufo-hoax.html Now you are well informed.
Dr. Steven Greer has an excellent theory as to why many highly paid people must suppress information about UFO or alien life forms with technology that makes ours look like a joke. For one…… an informed populace would have great difficulty believing that the internal combustion engine is the best technology available. http://www.theorionproject.org/en/
Balderdash.. Do you believe every crackpot that comes down the pike? - - - Updated - - - Steven M. Well, as a cult that prays to a space rock, why wouldn't it include a belief in creatures living in outer space?
All primitive Bedouin tribes carried their gods from place to place in a box on a litter.. and their gods were usually meteorites or pieces of meteorites. The Hebrews were no different.
Not to pick nits but it didn't say god created three sentient beings, it said, "God revealed the creation of "
Thank you for livening up the conversation Margot2. Have you seen the Richard Dawkins Ph. D. interview regarding aliens? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL7CCyuXAS4 Richard Dawkins: Aliens Seeded Earth? His reasoning sounds pretty sound to me!
It sounds like Mohammed was confused about the three kinds of entities mentioned in the Old Testament, angels, sexually promiscuous gentiles, and sexually prudent patriarchs. It was when jesus came that we realized another group exists, or could exist. Thinking honest sincere men who see that sex can cause big social problems and ought be intentionally controlled by facing the truth about fatherless kids that start popping up in great numbers otherwise.
The portion of this film entitled .1,2, 4 in Synch is impressive indeed! The fact that the Temple Mount is a strictly enforced no fly zone is a good point too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiiBVaF2xsc TOP SECRET - UFO hovering over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem (28/01/2011) .. I don't know if one of the commenters on the video is correct with this statement but if so this would be interesting as well
Aliens, they can't exist because I've never seen one! Then again I've never seen a barrel of oil. But let me ask you a question, have you ever seen God?
I'm assuming he thinks it makes that religion more plausible considering the vastness of space and the numerous building blocks of life being spread throughout it. The idea that God created just the earth with life is one of the ideas younger religious people have a major problem with. Just like the idea that the earth was the center of the universe mankinds idea of its place in this universe has changed drastically over the centuries so instead of realizing that religion is mythology they continue to try and make it valid. - - - Updated - - - Yeah I have but wait are you supporting the idea that just because you can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist because if so your first reply in this thread doesn't make any sense.
As for those young people, their God is too small. I believe God could create this entire universe as a setting for earth, and as a tool to reveal God to us. He could do it by simply thinking 'universe'. Those rules about seeing something physically don't apply to an eternal, infinite, omniscient, omnipotent God.
Which is far more plausible in your eyes than the existence of aliens? My reply to you was in regards to this, "Where are these aliens? They seem to be as rare as peaceful Muslims." The possibility of aliens is far more plausible and likely than any one of the Gods believed in by man.
The problem will come when terrestrial Muslims will try and convert aliens to Islam ... There is the possibility that the visitors from the outer space will use their superior technology to teach us a real lesson of freedom of religion ...
No you agree that seeing is not believing, by all accounts you disagree with your initial post in this thread.
