No, because I don't know what your answer is since you refuse to provide it. Is this how you think debates work? You think that when two people are debating, one of them can just go "Hey, I answered this in a previous debate, I don't need to answer it again, let's move on"? Well, I guess they can if they want to look pompous and dense.

Of course it was unfair. I don't recall if it states in the bible how much God walked and talked with Adam and Eve, or how much satan was in their face trying to tempt them. But to resist temptation for all of eternity or just slip up 1 tiny little time, yes that's unfair. Especially knowing before hand what was going to happen.

Nope. The choice had to be made. The baby had no choice but to make your already known and planned choice. The only thing you have is the baby doesn't know it. But there was only 1 choice it could make.

The dates are important here. After 1000 AD the beginnings of the Renaissance returned Europe to the old ways of the ancient Roman/Greek culture, and sexual mores again became gradually what hey are today in the West.
The best visual evidence for what I tell you is that Art suddenly reverted again to explicit illustrations of nudity and the realism returned after centuries of flat religious art works.

The whole monastic age was darkened to the overt sexuality that preceded it and then, later, followed.
It is hy the churches even today oppress sexual immorality, since that was the major change it worked to create after 32AD.

In a debate, one side does not have the option to say the other side wrong and they are right.
    He says you were answered.
    You deny that.

WE,... the readers here... WE decide not you.

Except in the garden scene, the knife is placed in the middle of the table, not hidden in some drawer. Then your son will be tempted continuously by his older brother to touch the knife. And guess what, eventually your son will touch the knife because it is available and he gave in to his brother.

It is a christian interpretation of the bible and it is certainly forbidden in this religion. So are they more moral?

I realize this is just a blog and someone's answer, but it is what this church practices.

He claims that he has answered the questions before. But, he refuses to provide a link or a reference to where he responded to them, or reiterate what his answer was. He's trolling.

As no scientist in the field refers to Micro/Macro in the ways you do I admit my unfamiliarity with your references. If by chance you mean genetic vs. biological adaptation, the difference is often a time frame designation. If not I really do not understand what you are talking about. I would recommend you stick to subjects you have some minimal familiarity with to avoid further confusion.

I am not bashful in saying that what I told is true (the truth) and I would be a liar to deny it - as in just trying to fake some humility - well no.

As I said - I did the homework and I did the research so I am rather proud of my own accomplishment.

What I find is that most people are just lost souls who act like dogs and swine with no regard for the higher truths, and that is why their so-called "TRUTHS" are just nonsense or rubbish or some have a little here and there.

I do not see that I did as you are claiming, my post #10.

I took the info and gave it in a short but understandable way, and the bulk of humanity has outgunned everything - yes, but everything still remains intact.

The miracle is that as hard as humanity has tried to stomp it under foot - it still remains intact.

No...they are not. If they were one would think it would at least be mentioned in journals and commentary beyond internet forum circles. The term "Micro" I assume refers to the very small, and by extension microbiological changes...this seems to me to deal with genetic changes in DNA. These changes are generally seen through genetic mutation in bacterial and viral strains on a regular basis. Macro evolution I take it refers to changes within species of Fauna/Flora we can see today. Thing is these changes take place over vast periods of time that we can only define through long dead creatures luckily fossilized and recovered.
I understand you wish to use this vague and ephemeral aspect to further your dissatisfaction with the theory...but ask instead that you submit your own explanation of observed life on this planet so we can cut to the chase here.

'Willing to do anything"? he does nothing, as it happens. well, as good as nothing ... with the only actual thing being to torture us or our loved ones if we don't comply. so effectively it's US who do all the work, while your watches and waits for slip up (aka, excuse to torture us).

If I 'think about the garden of eden', it takes about 1.5 nanoseconds to see the plot holes.

So, once, thousands of years ago, Yahweh may or may not have done something helpful for a handful of primitives in the desert - is that right? And that's your justification for saying he's 'willing to do anything'?

Did you parents threaten to torture you in a lake of fire for spilling your milk? Surely you jest, in comparing parents and their very finite 'punishments' for finite crimes - with your monster god who punishes infinitely for the slightest crime imaginable ... difference of opinion. Unless your own parents locked you in the basement with the furnace 30 years ago (for not liking carrots) and you're posting from there now.

Love that demands unconditional worship, on pain of torture, is usually called hate. Or conditional love, which is close to hate.

REAL love does not demand anything, and always allows second chances.

Of course sin was created by your god (in your world). And what the hell is 'holiness', anyway? I'll wager you have no idea. That'd be because it's just fluffy talk designed to fill all the holes in the plot. Like spakfiller.

Incredibly well, considering how bad we've been in the past. Violent crime rates are down in a lot of places, there is more equality, we're now taking environment and nature seriously, and bigotry is dying out. Of course, in some places the residual ill effects of imagining we can do whatever we like (because we thought we had it all and owned the world) are still playing out .... America for example. But in all the more progressive places we're doing better than we ever have - without religion :)

but you are suggesting that we 'need' god in order to have decent lives. this is a patent falsehood, and there are many nations now proving otherwise. remember that a nation is made up of individuals.

your god offered no free will, and no choice. unless by choice you mean making a decision based on the fact that a loaded gun is pointed at your head. and by free will you mean every single thing you will ever do or even think was planned before the creation of the universe.

the light IS responsible for the darkness, if the light controls it's own actions.

What do you not understand about the word plan? Your boy is alleged to have planned EVERYTHING ... that means every single thing you'd do or choose or think or say .... before he created anything. HE CHOSE WHAT YOU'D DO. If you're going to deny that he did plan everything, then you immediately render the whole idea of a grand plan void, and reduce your god to a shadow creature with no control over anything.

Prove the world is better now than 2000 years ago? Are you even remotely serious?

and do you actually believe that all those people over the past 1700 years, who've been Christians, freely chose their faith? I submit only the tiniest minority chose it. the rest were indoctrinated as children and lived in terror of god.

what? you're using an entirely different premise. the sportscaster is making an educated guess, he didn't PLAN the outcome. ditto the cake/broccoli.

your god PLANNED everything that would ever happen, he didn't GUESS what would most likely happen. he planned that you'd write what you wrote in this post before he created the universe, remember?

    - - - Updated - - -

not if you planned the outcome in the first place, and created it to happen according to the plan.

once again, your pride in your achievement is only good for YOUR achievement.

unlike you, I find most people wonderful, whose truths are more or less the same - don't hurt people or animals if at all possible, without compromising survival. no idea what you mean by 'higher truths', but most of the time that refers to grandiose notions about oneself, and the magical fairy realm invented by the easily bored.

humanity has not tried hard to stomp it under foot, humanity has been compromised by lack of knowledge about the world in which we live. I believe religion has slowed progress significantly (rough estimates given by those who've mathed this out say at least 200 years), so who knows where we'd be now if we'd ditched the gods sooner.

Both micro and macro evolution deal with changes in the genetic code. It's the exact same process. Longer amounts of time = larger changes in the genetic code = larger physical characteristic changes, makes complete sense to any rational individual.

It is very clear to me that you have no intention of having a serious discussion, answering questions posed to you, or reading replies to those questions you ask. The answers to your recent aree in the reply you quoted but, you are apparently incapable of understanding and thus is this debate ended...there is no point in going forward.
