Mine, too. I'm tired of winning and Trump hasn't even taken office yet.

All of Trump's horses and all of Trump's men won't be able to put the American economy back together again. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for supporting George W. Bush back in 2000-2009. He destroyed America. Now I'll say thank you for supporting Trump from 2016-? !!! I love it.

If one deducts just one state (Texas) from the EC vote, Clinton wins the EC vote. What's your point?

    By whom?

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I couldn't care less.

It's not working as designed at all.

If you can't explain your question I can't answer.

Complete nonsense. The states don't decide and no one ever said they did.

No, you asked "I asked where does the Constitution state that? It doesn't, they decided to leave it to the STATES and within thirty years all by SC decided to let the people choose the state electors AS THE CONSTITUTION ALLOWS."

    It is.

We did adopt it. It was bastardized into a system to protect the establishment parties that the founders never envisioned.

Where did I say in a state election?

It's a government established by we the people. In a democracy the people should decide.

Glass-Steagal was repealed in 1998. (When Clinton was President) This allowed banks to make risky loans and not worry about it because they would be covered by FDIC. (prior to then, banks had more stringent lending requirements) Banks got greedy. Home buyers got greedy, buying homes they couldn't afford (on "stated" income with virtually nothing down). Home builders saw a bonanza and flooded the market with product.

Blaming it on Bush is convenient. But a thorough understanding of what happened should make anyone realize he was merely the fool holding the bag when the inevitable happened.

Here is a good read about the causes of the collapse from Forbes. (I am told they are a group of people fairly adept with finances - scroll down to the bullet points for the quick and dirty facts)

It depends on what you mean by popular. If you mean the winning popular vote then Trump got more......because he won. If you mean the popular vote in sheer meaningless numbers that is different. Either way Trump won, Hillary lost. You would think she would know the rules.

If you want to live in a democracy then move to one. The US is a republic.

    As we all know...
The "will of the people" is expressed in 51 individual elections, not the aggregate of those elections.

I disagree that the popular vote is meaningless. It shows that more American voters wanted Clinton for their president.

You saying the US is not a democracy? Really?

Conservatives come up with the craziest things to try to justify their opinion.

Sorry but that is not the rules of the game. There are measures in place to assure against mob rule. Yanno, checks and balances.

I understand why now you are upset. It is because of your lack of knowledge.

That reflects the rules of the states in selecting electors in our anachronistic people.

The will of the people is reflected in the vote.

And for the 2nd time in 5 elections, the will of the people has been thwarted.

    as donald put it:

"The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy. The phony electoral college made a laughing stock of our nation. The loser one! This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy! Our nation is totally divided! The world is laughing at us. Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble...like never before

We can't let this happen. Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country."

Don't believe the lies from the media!

Not at all. There are plenty of measures in place to guard against mob rule. Perhaps you should take a Civics class.

I am well informed from many sources. I would suggest you step outside the liberal bubble and try it for yourself.

Please, share your wisdom and knowledge with us and explain in your view how the EC is a "check and balance" and against what.

    - - - Updated - - -

No, because almost three million more people voted for Clinton than for donald.

What's your point? Other than you don't seem to be able to count.

The electoral count was 304 to 227 for Trump. That's an advantage of 77 votes! Texas has an electoral value of 36 votes! Seventy-seven is much more than
thirty-six. Get someone to do the math for you.

By the public who once more decided they don't want a scum bag like Hillary Clinton anywhere near the White House.
    That's who!

Just as I find your opinions repugnant. Guess we'll just have to let the rest of the public decide. Oh, wait....guess what? They agree with me! Sorry (but not really). You backed and cheered on a crook and a loser. Get used to it.

That's purely your own opinion and we've already seen what that's worth.

Well, if I have to explain a basic concept I doubt some would not understand it. Those who are complaining about the EC are doing so because their candidate of choice lost. I am sure folks will come to terms with their devastating loss some day. Until then I am glad we will soon have grown ups in power.

Hillary also spent much more money than Trump did also. I am sure you think that should account for something as well. Trump campaigned to get the most EC votes. I am sure if the rules were different he would have campaigned differently. The fact that Hillary won the popular vote is meaningless in terms of winning.

The claim that he knew of at least 20 faithless Trump electors.
