I picked mine (short, my initials and lucky numbers) because I hunt and peck type and my avatar because I'm a brown nationalist.

Very observant people might also notice that it's a wordplay on Schrödinger's Cat :)

Several decades ago I lived and worked in Yosemite Nat'l Park. The local Native Americans were the Miwok and had a beautiful language which many of the areas and monoliths used as place names. I lived for awhile in a dormitory complex built during WWll as recovery units for injured troops...these were renovated into apartments for employees and names the Tecoyah Dorms.
I have great memories of these times and wanted a name to use online that no one else would choose so this seemed a logical choice.

Oh great. Now I have to worry about if the cat is alive while my head hurts.
Could we discuss what Kant would advise sailors on a ship adrift at sea with a cargo of bananas and nothing else to eat instead?

Got mine from my birth certificate.

Actually...not all that many Frank's around. Lots of Francis's and Franklins. But I guess my mother wanted to go low tech...so it is Frank. Teachers in school often gave me grief about it...always asking if it was actually Francis or Franklin.

As for the tower...my father told me it's been in the family for years.

Guy walks into a library and asks the librarian, “I'm looking for a book that's been recommended to me… It's about Pavlov’s Dogs and Schrodinger’s Cat… Do you know it?”

The Librarian answers, Well, that rings a bell, but I'm not sure if it's here or not”.

There are way too many cats on this Earth. Ungrateful, useless and domesticated pieces of fur that are not good for anything. Are they even natural to any eco-system? Worthless real life Sleeping Beauties.

    Remove them all!

How about if I say I'm sorry for whatever I did to you?

My last job was that of a computer programmer writing "code". So I made up a variation of it - "Kode".

I just searched through this entire thread hoping to find and entry for "bois darc chunk" with no luck. I've been curious about that one for a while now.

    Expedience.
I wasn't in the mood to think about what image I wanted to project. There was a big Sharpie permanent marker sitting in front of me, and I used it. Then I was kind of sorry I wasn't more unique, so I took more care with my avatar.

    Ha! OK, so here goes…

The osage orange tree is also known in the south as "bodock" tree (or as the French spell it "bois d'arc") and is a super hard, dense wood, historically used by Native Americans to make archery bows. It will often ruin a saw blade because of the density. My dad used to say my head (and fighting spirit) was as hard as a chunk of bodock. It was a compliment, from my dad, because he liked toughness. I use the French spelling as a nod to my provencial French and Cajun heritage. The fruit of the osage orange, also called "hedge apples" were tossed under beds to keep spiders away. I don't think they really do, but the oil from the tree and the fruit is used in natural insect repellents. I like to think of it as a troll repellent. ;)

Thanks to you and Shangrila for prompting me to share it.

I got it from The Mandela Effect as I think it's a cool effect that has been going on the last year or more.

It was quite something to watch Reddit blow up over Hillary Vs Hilary spelling wise. It went on for some time then all those threads got nuked and google/wiki changed her first name back to Hillary after a few weeks.

    I remember Trinnity.

She was a good friend of mine about a year ago.

I heard she started her own forum web page after getting booted.

I never learned about symmetry in physics.

    Biology yes. Physics no.
