No charges yet that he killed people or broke a treason law. So of course I do not support him getting impeached or convicted.

No. A process may provide a legal result, but not one which ought to be respected because any process can be circumvented occasionally to provide the antithesis of the original intent. A trial can become a kangaroo court . A bone fide law can be a travesty when wrongly applied. I don't think I can swallow a result simply because it exists and was arrived at with all the i's dotted and the t's crossed. Its very unlikely under the current circumstances, but the vote alone is not enough for me. there needs to be a high standard met to nullify an election. I just don't know if the needs to be a law broken while in office.

Do I officially toast the result, or is the door shut?

And Nixon actually broke the law - not just the Watergate break in, but using the IRS & FBI & CIA to target his political enemies. Nixon broke a lot of laws to get impeached. But times have changed, today the rule of law means nothing, its all political. obama did much of the same as Nixon, and was protected and encouraged by the DC swamp. Trump has done nothing wrong, but the DC swamp is out to get him.

So impeachment of Trump is a real option.

There are probably enough RINO's and "progressives" and haters in Congress to impeach Trump, but I doubt they all believe the PR that Trump has no support in the people. Since impeachment is all political and the rule of law is dead, nobody will be fooled by claims that its "legal and Constitutional". My guess is that if the swamp impeaches Trump, DC will lose all credibility, people will explode.

if republicans decide to impeach him, I would accept it even though I do not think pence would be any better, maybe worse as he would really get things done to set this country back

True, does it also say not to protest votes that a person does not agree with? That is interesting that you would not protest an unjust decision by a super majority of the Senate. Very unlike you.

So you think the Senate should be able to remove a sitting president for no reason?

If Trumped fired his entire appointed cabinet to keep himself in office, would you accept this and not urge protests or violence? It is, after all, legal for him to do so.

Here's another thread based on some Liberal gang's wishful, "wet-dream" thinking and 'hypotheticals'. Let your imagination run wild -- when the LEGALITY starts, and the bullshit STOPS, the rabid, hyperliberal Left must bring forth formal charges, evidence, and make its full-frontal play for the power-grab.

So, to all hyperlibs of all stripes who hunger for Trump's 'impeachment', it's really kind of like your totally discredited "Russia" thing now -- SH*T OR GET OFF THE POT! Here's a Great Truth: If you've got NOTHING, then, NOTHING'S going to happen.... :deadhorse:

Besides, Libsters, consider a very sobering point -- even if somehow you mounted a coup d'etat against Donald Trump and you got him thrown out with the help of the rotten, chicken-sh*t RINO's, than after the smoke clears, you'd have MIKE PENCE in the White House! :nana: .Now, let the blood flow back into what's left of your brains and THINK about THAT for a few minutes....

And what has Trump "gotten away with"? Compare what Trump has done with how incredibly far obama expanded Presidential power.

Democrats need a lot of seats to flip the House, and they think veterans and a 'Better Deal' is going to get them there. How about liberals hold off on any impeachment fantasies until they at least have one chamber of Congress. No chance of impeachment with Republicans controlling all of the government...

If he gets impeached, I'll celebrate. If you are anywhere near the Austin area, first round is on me.

Politicians votes do not create a legal justification.

It does if Congress decides he has committed "high crimes and misdemeanors," which is an extremely broad category.

It really does not matter if President Donald J. trump committed crimes before he became POTUS, that is not an impeachable offense and it is a matter for the jurisdiction where he supposedly committed the crime or crimes, after he leaves office.

Congress as a whole has had low approval ratings. Most of us hate it as a whole, but will still vote for the incumbent. It's sort of a meaningless datapoint.

Congress is now at an historic low. Many incumbents are very vulnerable if challenged by credible real opposition.

Club for Growth has been taking out incumbents for over a decade. Trump has proved that if you have a few new ideas that resonates with voters you can win on a small budget without running ads. Run Peri Run! :)
