Democrats filibustered Gorsuch and the nuclear option was used to get him through. The hearings weren't as much of a circus though. Didn't matter who Trump picked after Kennedy retired, they would have possibly faced the same insanity of a hearing a few weeks back that Kavanaugh had to deal with.

Say they do an investigation whats the timeframe for completion? Also what kind of smoking gun to prove guilty or innocence would you reasonably expect to come from the investigation? Mid November would be a convenient time for completion of the investagtion

 

Kavanaugh was MUCH better when he was giving his statement.... not good at answering simple questions...
